I am this close šŸ¤ to never wanting to design one again (last foray was Sacred Rites) but this project has snuck in. It is far sillier than confrontational, which is a must for me for the genre anymore

I eagerly await its prophesied reveal

If it is beautiful and unexpected and has glowing, friction-y edges, it is a Holland game. This genre-smash would need such a touch. I admit her catalogue was the first place I peeked.

Yet folks only have a couple of examples. Games can exist off the table in both ways (more in your head/social behavior, and more in the real-world physics engine) but they don’t seem to happen together

I don’t even know if ā€˜social deduction’ captures the core mechanic of ā€˜does the monster guess you peeked while it did something naughty.ā€ Maybe dexterity plus Oink’s Insider is closer.

FANTASTIC point of reference thank you. This one also messes with closing eyes for some of gameplay.

Maybe??? We like it but it is so far out there we don’t have any good comparison points except ā€˜it’s fun’

We hoped our new small business would keep flourishing and help support our new family (Remi!) and creative community in tough times, even in a small way. But now it is all much more risky, and a promising chance to create is now replaced by the burden of uncertainty.

I’d be happy to read both. I agree that adventure games with a godly perspective feel like they are missing something authentic about being lost, reality obscuring itself.

Trying to make a nicer copy next week. Got our Discord suggesting all the worst ideas and for now I am including it all.

I forget, we do have an externally published game (we helped make it but we aren't the publisher) hopefully coming out soon also!

Designed by someone else, a local designer no less, and signed to our safekeeping.
