We hoped our new small business would keep flourishing and help support our new family (Remi!) and creative community in tough times, even in a small way. But now it is all much more risky, and a promising chance to create is now replaced by the burden of uncertainty.

It predates me doing professional game design. In fact, I can only barely surmise why I wrote it down (it seems to be on a list of prompts for short stories about a Night Vale-esque quirky Arizona town)

And a useful note, as it has come up: Yes, the game does come to an end, as nobody draws for the minimum 2 cards you discard on your own turn. So no matter the ensuing nonsense, the total cards at the table drops by at least 2 per non-passed turn, regardless what others play on you.
