Karnak makes me so happy. Like legit. Any game that lets me place things really freely gets my attention.

“what is the scoville level of your root chakra” “toad has pinkertons” what is going on in my house

Picked up copies of Signal and Here Lies from @dvcgames.bsky.social this week. Been really digging their other games (video coming for Typeset next week!) and I'm hoping to use them to teach observation and inference in my 9th grade science skills class next year!

If you can’t tell, we are trying to figure out what to publish next.

Good game time with a good friend.

"I think furbies are daleks" The magic of @jesswrites.bsky.social messaging me at work.

Back to lots of prototypes on the table. Good to feel back in the swing of things!

Messing with little stands for our games for booth needs.

This week, Spacehawk and his wife tackle mysteries in Here Lies from @dvcgames.bsky.social — a clever co-op deduction game full of storytelling and intrigue. 🕵️‍♀️🕵️‍♂️ 🎥 Watch now: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xqd2... #BoardGames #HereLies #WhatsInTheBox

How three different types of contracts in board games work: licensing an intellectual property for tabletop, signing a designer’s game, and overseas publishing partnerships

Almost there on this project. @queengwenevere.bsky.social is making such jaw-dropping work.

Another fantastic game by @dvcgames.bsky.social. This week we take a look at what's in the box of this halarious card game of Things! #boardgame #game #cardgame #indiegame #tabletopgame

A somewhat occasional reminder, but we do keep a 'hitlist' and set of criteria for assessing submissions to us. I'd rather see you only send things that are close fits than spend time on a bad match. Share as you desire. docs.google.com/document/d/1...

Feeling like we are getting close with the cloth mat for our next release, which is also our first externally signed game.

Hey @mistergross.bsky.social let’s go see Orthogonally

At some point in the design process, either early, late, or somewhere in the middle, I wake up late and jot down something in my phone notes, usually my last choice for note-taking usually. I tracked down the first note written for each of our first three games. Because why not. I should be asleep.

And like that, it seems Dan has completed his collection. Thing Thing means a lot to the people here at home, a perennial end-the-night game. I expect not too much of it most of the time, but I am glad it can bring its glimmers of weird joy.
