Isn't it the same as the Geo Metro, including the convertibles?

looking at the Bachmann website: 2 steam engines (260 and 060), 1 diesel (50 ton Withcomb) and assorted freight and passenger cars. It's not much compared to their HO lineup, but I think it covers the basics. They did offer a tiny Porter 040 many years ago which was great for small layouts.

I pick the firefighters under the assumption that some part of the sale price went to support actual firefighters.

Isn't it essentially a stretched Focus that just happens to be shaped like a truck? (complimentary)

The permanent fix was to leave a few rail joiners without solder, but soldering wires around them, to provide good contact while still allowing for thermal expansion and contraction.

While I agree with your distrust of rail joiners, I did have an issue on a large club layout where thermal expansion resulted in rails buckling on a hot day. We discovered the issue at the start of a public run day (of course) and had to quickly cut a slice of rail off.

I’ve done that with shoes as manufacturers tend to change their models and sizing without warning.

I had a neighbor who bought two Toyota Priuses on the same day, both in silver. They even got consecutive license plate numbers!

I hope that he will eventually get around to buying it!

And broad gauge (5' 2.5") too!

A hybrid drivetrain is available on most trim levels, including base.

It’s not new: if I remember correctly, they used wheel torque for the Spark EV too.

For one thing they were the standard mail truck for several decades. Many other government agencies used them as well, which was expected as Renault was fully nationalized from 1944 until 1990.

Just to be clear: I joking about the startup idea. Anything with AI in its title is terrible.

I’ve owned a couple of Saturns (granted they were new at the time), so I’m not afraid of plastic body panels.

I don’t know the complete story but I wonder if something similar to OO happened where motors could not be made small enough to fit inside HO models, especially for prototypes with smaller loading gauges such as the ones in the UK…

Speaking of little trucks, any news from Slate?
Picture tangentially related…

It still ruffles my pedantic feathers… 1 meter gauge in 150 scale is 6.6 mm which is much closer to 6.5 than 9. I’m not sure why they picked 1:150 as it also doesn’t match the most common gauge of 1067 mm… I guess this predates the invention of Z gauge. The same situation exists in HO too…

What gauge of track do they run on? The real ones are meter gauge, so I guess the nearest in N scale would be 6.5 mm (Z gauge)…

This may sound dumb, but have you tried turning them off (unplug or open the breaker) and on again? Sometimes, at the end of an outage, the power does not come on “cleanly” (the voltage might ramp up slowly or come back in rapid bursts) and this can confuse some electronic circuits.

That is a seriously long passenger train (except for the lack of passengers part). It probably doesn’t match the current record which stands at 100 cars (using EMUs) and 70 cars for a locomotive pulled consist.

This would be a neat consist to model using unpowered F40 units. The biggest job would be painting and lettering/numbering them of course!

Yes, there are use cases that make sense, but 99% of SUVs I see driving around should be minivans or cars. Their increased size and mass are a threat to other road users.

I’ve driven very basic cars (my first car was a FIAT 127) and some with many gadgets. The only feature I really like is electric windows. Everything else is just extra parts that can break.

I don’t, but then again I don’t really get regular SUVs either…

It might be mid-conversion as it still has its original three digit number. The converted units have a four digit number, according to my “research” (a quick glance at Wikipedia).

I've never seen this type of connector, so based only on your picture I would guess you need to lift the metal loop and it will hinge on the two ends that are near the front of the connector.
