That's fair
Let's say around 4-6 minutes where you mostly dodge attacks and the transition between phases are very distinct

Bluefort!!
I gotta set up a custom hitsound myself but for now I have a killsound of when you defeat a kremling in DKC and it's so goofy

I wish I could play more with the camera, give it more depth, add more life to the animations all without being super hacky and bloating texture space and eyeballing tons of stuff

Everything else is indeed pretty simple but a bunch of assets are still needed for le cool intro and outro cutscenes
Flashy spectacle boss fights are one of the selling points but next time I'll be more careful

Yeah, where you can borrow and try out the weapon (not tradeable) and experiment with it
AND THEY DID IT FOR 2 WEAPONS WHY
Maybe splatoon can bring it back if they don't want to give new players a good chunk of weapons at once, borrow a few at a time from sheldon

50/50 on it but it's at least one factors out of the many removed from not making the game as easy to sell to people
As long as they also do improvements on giving players things like weapons and easing on the level requirements it could work

And I mean super mercy of rng cus in years of playing I still haven't seen some base weapons drop in it, it's ridiculous
but F2P accounts can't even store all base weapons in their inventory until 2 years into the game anyway lol

You do if you don't want to be at the mercy of rng, and if it wasn't for the community market you'd be scammed to hell and back by the official prices, but that's a product from over a decade ago which originally wasn't even F2P

Making this short intro was a ton of fun and I think much like the demo itself is the ultimate celebration of a part of the game I've been actively working on for over 3 years, I think something really special came out of it!

The pieces of paper in each shot were animated manually, them always being one color definitely helped through the more complex movements

Oh and the lighting in this shot was done through vertex painting, everything was done to make rendering as fast as possible

Most props were drawn given the simple style, but some were also 3D like Tulip at the end or the little piece of paper
Curves and some geometry node was used for the vinelines too

Everything was made in Blender inside a giant messy sphere, most often using some weird perspective tricks

The idea sparked since the main theme was remade, but only started production around the end of march
The storyboard was finished on christmas
