These trails just never get old. Ever.

Hello. I live in Los Angeles. The president is lying.

I made a comment on a post last night and then went to bed at the late, late hour of 9pm. What a surprise to discover this morning I got shared and quoted a bunch! A few folks think I’m an idiot, but I think they expected me to have a comprehensive opinion on a huge topic. And I don’t.

My friends tease me sometimes about how I can go back to the same trail over and over again, but I love it so very much. Having a default place makes getting out the door almost automatic, even on days when I don't really feel like getting out of bed. It's always there for me.

I deleted Facebook - in part - because the chronically-online verbal vomit from people with 2,500 "friends" was too much for me. And yet I keep getting baited into interacting with people on here who follow 48,000 people. It's wild.

Having grown up and loved my entire adult life in conjunction with the internet, the most full-throated thing I can say is that I hate it and what it’s done to human relationships.

1. Florida banned cities from lighting up bridges rainbow colors for Pride. So the people of Jacksonville did it themselves using flashlights and gels. They opened the drawbridge to block them. So they marched to a different bridge. The latest from S. Baum. Subscribe to support our journalism.
