Listening to the #Newsom interview on Pod Save America & wow, what a puss Trump is. He and Newsom spoke on Friday and it was all cordial, 24 hours later, Trump was nationalizing the National Guard. To his face, he’s all obsequious, then online he’s the big tough guy. We have a toddler for president.

I can't stress enough how wrong and disingenuous the most recent wave of COVID revisionism is. The *only period* when Democratic counties had higher death rates was April-May 2020. From June 2020 onwards, Republican laxity and denialism were the most powerful force driving deaths.

Finally read this tonight & it’s spot on. I’m so struck by how uncannily prescient the GOP monsters are for knowing exactly how the gross culture shifts are going to go. Or maybe they shape it to go the way they want, don’t know. Chicken or egg, I guess. Either way, it’s terrible & no fix in sight.
