One of the best things I ever did on BlueSky was follow a whole bunch of artists, including in mediums like comics which I don’t know at all. Because look at this! This is so cool!

my gift. print it, poster it, do what you want.

I am officially one of The Ancients, Keeper of Knowledge of the Before Time

I’ve been marching for LGBTQ+ rights since Pride was considered a protest. And I’ll continue to march under this administration as a recommitment to the fight for equality today. No matter who you are or who you love, you have a home here in Illinois.

Whenever I need a quick hit pick me up I bring up this video and for the like six people who haven't seen it you'll really enjoy it. And it doesn't even matter if you know the thing by heart it's funny every time.

Occasional reminder that ONE MESSAGE REMAINS, my mini-collection of one novella/three novelettes about war and resistance in an Actively Empiring Empire, came out in February! :) "Malicious compliance, thy name is Taya." locusmag.com/2025/05/one-...

A three-year-old brought me a bit of black paper. "Look", she said, "I found a piece of night!" We're all born poets, but slowly we forget.

I hate that this story brings me such joy (but in, like, a “I’m laughing so I don’t throw up” kind of way; my joy over this is in no way uplifting or supportive)

New one page comic by me! #comicoop

HEY it's been a while so hi hello! I'm Alex! I'm Canadian and I draw pictures for a living! Thanks for following me! I'm currently working on a short graphic novel about the absolutely bonkers funeral we held for my grandpa so I haven't been posting much art lately but this 🧵 is what it looks like!

CORMAC MCCARTHY: He never sleeps. He says that he will never die. He dances in light and in shadow and he is a great favorite. He never sleeps, the judge. He is dancing, dancing. He says that he will never die. JOE ROGAN: sure. I've met guys like that

This is just a delightful thing to be true (probably not delightful on set at the time, but)

Hey, let's do a BLUESKY SUMMER READING SPECTACULAR: Name a currently available book (not your own!) you'd recommend for an enjoyable summer reading experience. Include an image/link if you can. I'll start with @maryrobinettekowal.com's The Martian Contingency: us.macmillan.com/books/978125...

This is a view from the surface of Comet 67P. The busy particles in the foreground are cosmic rays or bits of dust and ice. The dots moving in the background are stars.

This is really interesting! This is the longest-distance remote software update ever done in human history lol. Voyager is currently 25 billion kilometers or 167.34 AU away from Earth!

Here's a map of the Roman road network in the time of Hadrian, ~125 CE. There were 29 military highways, 372 great roads joining 113 provinces. In total, it was more than 400,000 km of roads (250,000 miles). For comparison, the US interstate highway system is ~48,000 miles of road.
