I wish I could watch it again for the first time.

I notice the tlexolotl’s as well. This wouldn’t be The Burning of Aglarond, would it?

This gross old man is clearly missing Epstein’s Rolodex.

Two Eyedrakes?! Your players are in for a surprise, for sure.

I love this! I can imagine an elven ballad honoring the alliance between dwarves and the elves of Mirkwood.

This was me not realizing that Harmontown had D&D segments included. I thought it was just an unscripted podcast of his. My apologies.

That’s great! Congrats. But Harmon Town? Fondue Zoobag will be seriously distraught about this (and probably wander off in a pique of self-loathing).

His consultants must realize this makes no sense, right? Big monied interests will divide the vote between Cuomo, Adams, and Sliwa (I’m guessing Jim Walden won’t pull in much). This just ensures that Mamdani will win the progressive vote like he did in the primary. Am I missing something?

I loved this movie. There should be more examinations of American complicity in coup d’états accompanied by a killer soundtrack.

As a former theater nerd, I always took the “Yes and” approach as something derived from improv in which you accept the choice of the person on stage with you and incorporate it into your roleplay. It’s about collaboration. The “No but” relates to a rules-based system and “No” is also appropriate.

I also recommend Foundry. I have primarily used it for 5e, but I find it to be enormously helpful as a DM. There is a steep learning curve for using mods and redesigning the template (and the Discord tech support are all volunteers with sometimes unhelpful attitudes). But it’s the best VTT out there

That was ESB and it was a power socket that C-3PO told R2 to use to override the security system on Cloud City. Not sure why R2 made that mistake. I guess it was just a stressful and confusing moment. 🤷🏻‍♂️

There was a bias against droids, for sure. An alarm went off when R2-D2 and C-3PO entered the Mos Eisely Cantina and the barkeep said they don’t serve droids. In Solo, I3-37 advocated for droid rights. This was related to the history of battle droids used by the Separatists in the Clone Wars.

It helps explain why they’re displayed so prominently rather than just being small access cards they keep in a pocket. Officers are showing them off as part of their rank. It makes sense that access to a higher-tier of information would be a symbol of power for them.

Basically, but without hacking. Each code cylinder allows a certain level of security clearance. Higher ranks get higher-level code cylinders.

I view this as heavy projection. Reading his tweets accusing others is him telling on himself about what he would do.

I like to see it as world building. The show certainly has Star Wars fans in mind and regularly found in-world uses for random props from the original trilogy. Ice cream makers are credit banks and long rods in trash compactors are components of Naboo starships. It was fun and not too obtrusive.

They show them being used in The Mandalorian. They are essentially key fobs that unlock a certain level of passcode.

"Remember where you come from, draw strength from your relatives, not just the ones you can place on a family tree, but all our relatives, all beings with whom we share ancestry on this pale blue dot we call home."

"It is easy to despair when those running our so-called democracies are so eager to unleash violence against anyone who dares challenge oppression and demand justice. They tell us not to trust our eyes and ears and hearts even as they invent machines to hallucinate an alternative reality."
