He also said he came from the planet Lovetron, and I’m surprised that never made it into a nickname

Seeing its thumbnail pop up a lot on these lists, as much as any movie and I agree, it’s worthy and amazing.

I went there during Spring Break, and the fog was so thick you could only see the base. (This also applies to Crazy Horse monument, on a different day that same trip).

I was there over winter break and Deadwood shirt sellers have *clearly* picked a side on whether the official name of the body of water should be Gulf of Mexico or of America.

I realize most people on the coasts and anyone anywhere under 30 do not know who the Menards guy is but, trust me, Charlie nails the Menards guy here.

It’s like my Randy Savage impression — I would need a reason that he has risen from the grave to bring the character in.

both FIFA and the IOC being cartoonishly corrupt and incompetent organizations is likely the only reason they still happen here
but there are going to be boycotts for sure, especially by the time we hit 2028 - should be full on international pariah status by then

Love to realize that eating, a task both enjoyable and necessary, will be uncomfortable and, at times, painful for the next several days

Of all the kids’ shows I have watched with my 8yo son, none affected me or engaged me like Adventure Time. It was just magnificent to enjoy it along with him.

I applaud the Lolita reference in a hit (!) song about a young schoolgirl and a teacher.

Hmm, my money was on Puck. Also, I’m not checking what Puck has been up to, because I don’t think it can be good.

For a while, new videos would have the MTV ‘exclusive video’ banner at the start, but that would eventually go away after weeks, and then any other video channel would be able to play Janie’s Got A Gun.

I’ve been saying this all along: they should have cast Bruce Campbell!

If you think Anthony Kiedes would describe the sexual arousal of a female police officer in a tasteful way, I have some unfortunate news.

Missing too much historical context to know if ‘radio announcers’ was a sick burn

That’s true. They were touring off Accelerate and played a bunch from it.
But they didn’t play anything from their previous three albums, and they didn’t play anything in their encore younger than 15 years old.
It was an awesome setlist, to be fair, and I’m so glad I saw them before they quit.

Also, when he was much younger, whenever we read the story Gladys Goes Out to Lunch, he repeatedly pointed to this obviously elderly gentleman and said “daddy! daddy!”
No, that guy is very old!

I mean, The Raid: Redemption was great, but I didn’t know the director had this in him.
