Gee, remember all those times during the Biden Administration when Senate Dems thought about blowing up the filibuster to get important legislation passed, but couldn't get enough Dem votes to do it, because it would set a dangerous precedent? Always bringing a knife to the gunfight.

I had to look twice to make sure this wasn't an Onion headline.

I wouldn't be surprised if, to avoid the Bondi conflict issue, Trump asks one of the law firms that agreed to do "pro bono" work for him (which he thinks just means free legal services) to confirm the legality of the plane donation.

He might be a Bears fan, but I am sure he admires Rodgers for his skill at Hail Marys.

Who was Mel Kiper Jr.'s pick? "This Cardinal Pizzaballa, he's got all the tools."

How ironic. You'd think that the first bird Pope would have been a cardinal.

It's Marco Rubio. He's taking all the jobs now.

The Cardinals' stadium should have a chimney that spews out white smoke for every victory.

Maybe his fingers were crossed when he took the oath? Maybe he thinks it only counts if he triple dog swears?

Ooh. Soon we'll be at DefCollins 1: "Very concerned." After which, she will do nothing of any significance. Note that she actually votes against something Trump wants -- like voting against one of his Cabinet appointees -- only if her vote won't change the result. She's an invertebrate.

Dems need to follow this guidance: WWMD. What Would Mitch Do. McConnell was a master of obstruction when Dems controlled the Senate; learn from the master and adopt his tactics. As someone else posted, stop bringing a cheese stick to a knife fight.

I would hire her in a heartbeat. Smart, sensitive, caring -- very impressive.

Someone should ask her if she is a DEI hire. If she bristles at that question, ask her why it upsets her.

"Tow the line." LOL. He probably thinks it's a nautical term.

Past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior. The evenly divided Senate didn't remove him for fomenting an insurrection or extorting an ally for political gain. Do you really think a Republican-controlled Senate will vote to remove him, regardless of what he does? Highly doubtful.

What if courts rule that the firings were unlawful and order the IGs restored to their positions, and Trump refuses to obey the order? The only remedy is impeachment, but that won't happen. Instead, we'll truly have an imperial presidency, which is what he wants. This is a test of our entire system.

Maybe the plan has been to make outrageously bad nominations, then, after all the outcry, replace them with nominations that are still bad, but less so, to make it easier for the real picks to get confirmed. See, e.g., Gaetz and Bondi.

Democrats are masters of bringing a knife to a gun fight. Time to fight fire with fire. Pick a few key areas of vulnerability (health care, corruption, higher prices, lower wages) and hammer them daily on every platform, in language that a sixth-grader can understand. And block everything possible.
