From an end user perspective it seems pretty clear that "The plan" should have been to document proper front-end only alternatives 2 years ago in the docs rewrite instead of pushing Next/Vercel down everyone's throat, but we're passed reasonable expectations of unbiased opinions from the React team.

I have a 9 year old computer that still works fine on windows 10, and **would** definitely work fine on windows 11 too, if it didn't reject my CPU (for being too old) and my lack of a TPM chip (for encryption). They just decided to force people to hardware upgrade for no legitimate reason, too.

Agreed. And also, a lot of game studios are just creating garbage that no one actually wants, whether it's overpriced or not.
