Malifaux! It has a new edition coming out in a few months, so might be a good time to give it a look!

This seems a strange take to me because I usually see people complain that 40k has been made simpler to appease tournament players. My view is that it is simpler than old editions, but the tournament scene isn't to blame - it's to accommodate the ever larger armies as GW tries to sell more minis.

Thud is my favourite Discworld book, because it's one where Pratchett's raw anger at racism shows through so strongly that the reader can't pretend that this is just a fantasy world - the reality of it is unavoidable.

I'm currently reading the 7th book in the series and can confirm that the answer is a resounding Yes. They're all excellent!

That would save me a lot of time, actually.

Has anyone tried putting any lead up in this "atmosphere" to see if it rains gold?

On one hand, I don't have time for a new game; on the other hand, wood elves.

6132 and 4358, apparently. Wikipedia has now updated with the totals: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2025_Un...

My mistake. Apparently it's 805 now; not sure where those others came from. But also Greens is actually 895, not including the Scottish Greens, so numbers up all round.

I definitely think a lot of people have voted for them as a protest vote because they're (justifiably) pissed off at the old parties, but I wish they'd pay a bit more attention and pick a better party for that.

Not convinced that much has changed, to be honest - from the numbers now it just looks like all the Tory voters have gone to Reform, and the Labour voters have gone Lib Dem and Green. Arguably a slight shift towards more progressive parties on average, but being reported in a misleading way.

Literally what he's said he's going to do:

I maintain that Star Wars is primarily for children, but Andor (and Rogue One) is Star Wars for adults. In a very good way.

I think maybe we should work on human rights for humans before we worry about my phone’s fancy guessing app

This is the real crux of the problem - either the music's terrible, so it should be banned, or they're playing good music but butchering it by playing it through a terrible mobile phone speaker, so it should be banned.

I do have trans friends, which has definitely helped my understanding, but even without that I think that fundamentally, all humans should have basic rights. Policy should be based in fact and the fact is that trans people having the rights that you're asking for does not harm anyone.

Technically it could also act as a gate. Friendly models can move through it, but enemy models can't. No different to any other vehicle, but different to stratagems and terrain. Also they do say a new datasheet is coming, so there might be something in that.
