World War 3 kinda sucks, but you know, it was either this or pronouns

Why couldn't the Scottish Government save Grangemouth? Energy is reserved to Westminster. Why can't Scotland welcome more care workers from overseas? Immigration is reserved to Westminster. Why can't the Scottish Government tackle drug addiction better? Drug laws are reserved to Westminster.

i know it's just advertisement but it still pisses me off when tech CEOs claim AGI will solve humanity's problems with its vast intelligence. for a lot of problems we already know the solutions, what prevents them being solved is not a lack of intelligence, but that the solutions are unprofitable

I'm so old that I'm still kind of scared to put spaces in file names

Every article about the inevitability of AGI

Fuck yes!

I’m incredibly disappointed with boston public radio. They just said on air that “the best Board game of all time is Clue” There’s quite literally tens of thousands of better #boardgames you can play

I wonder if the creators of Rogue could have understood the trap they'd laid 45 years later for game developers who can't spell

Convinced that aphids were invented by the people who sell lubricating eye drops.

Labour might wonder why, less than a year into a new government promising “change”, people are giving up on it in droves. So let me help it out with a few clues. 1. Cutting disability benefits 2. Freezing Local Housing Allowance. 3. Maintaining the cruel, Malthusian two-child benefit cap .... 🧵

Warhammer Is for Everyone — Why I Won’t Participate in the Warhammer World Championships At a recent Age of Sigmar tournament, I had the incredible honour of winning a Golden Ticket to the Warhammer World Championships — the closest thing our community has to the Olympics. 1/5

Why does Starmer's Labour Party seem determined to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory? Because it hates the left more than it fears the far right. As a result it won't do the "left" things so many of its potential supporters are crying out for.

Here is a radical suggestion.Perhaps party strategists all over the UK should step back from their focus groups for two minutes and think less about how to campaign, and more why they want to win. What is your plan for the country? Make up your mind, then try to sell it. Old-fashioned, I know.

Overall it seems like the majority of Reform votes are coming from ex-Tory voters, so can't wait for Labour to interpret that as a sign to continue to enact Reform's policies.

Feels like a lot of the news reporting around the English council elections is leaving out a lot of context in order to fuel sensationalism. They're giving the impression that Reform are running the country now, when they've actually just moved to 5th place for number of UK councilors.

Coming soon: Labour responds to the failure of its Nigel Farage tribute act by trying even harder to be a Nigel Farage tribute act whilst closing its eyes to the evidence of where that path led the Tories.

Also the 90s convention of games not having micro transactions.

Discworld QOTD, from Witches Abroad “You can't go around building a better world for people. Only people can build a better world for people. Otherwise it's just a cage. Besides you don't build a better world by choppin' heads off and giving decent girls away to frogs.”

I wonder how many other human rights former human rights lawyer Keir Starmer is excited about demolishing

Happy X-Men day
