Would you ask the same question if the killer were a Muslim?

If you don't consider the real world effects of biology then you won't need women's sports, or maternity leave, you wont care about period poverty, and you won't mind that medical research is focused almost entirely on a default male body. How's that going to work out?
comment in response to

That is a very reductive and ignorant argument. Women have long fought for equality despite obvious biological differences, not to have those differences ignored. We segregate certain things by sex so that women can have safety, dignity and opportunities that men take for granted.

What is gender? And why do you think it suddenly negates tens of thousands of years of sex-based behaviours, such as male pattern violence?

If you're implying the killer was left wing you're making a fool of yourself.

I would recommend The Mandibles if you're a fan of that dystopian near-future type of fiction. Or as I tend to think of it, research π«£

I read it recently and enjoyed it, but I think the second half is stronger than the first. I'm on the second book now which is also good.

Is it fair to call him a misogynist when he apparently doesn't realise women exist?

My whole account and everything I post is labelled as intolerant. That's the price Bluesky makes people pay for believing women have rights that men shouldn't impose on π

He's right about gender identity not being a PC.

What did Reindorf say, if you don't mind me asking?

It's air defence. The point of which presumably is to hit missiles targeting the city.

They can hold a litre of water which could be vital in a survival situation, assuming you wouldn't rather die than drink water that tastes of spermicidal lube.

The Latin, if anyone was wondering, says 'and so I am a snake consuming its tail'. Which isn't a bad metaphor for the circular mantra 'trans women are women' π

It's astonishing how much of a fool you're willing to look in order to defend your position.

How come there are more transwomen sex offenders than there are women sex offenders, given the massive disparity in population sizes?
comment in response to
post
In 2024 there were 125 women in UK prisons convicted of sexual offences. That's out of about 35million people.
In the same year there were 151 transwomen in UK prisons convicted of sexual offences. That's out of, what, 50,000 people?
comment in response to
post
You'd accept that the prison stats prove that transwomen are vastly more likely than women to be sex offenders?
comment in response to

We know how many trans-ID UK prison inmates are sex offenders. It's rather a lot.

Funny how transwomen and men have such strikingly similar rates of criminal behaviour.

I think mine would be too, particularly from when I was a child or teenager and spent many hours a day reading (so, C.S.Lewis, Brian Jacques, Anne Rice, Tolkien...)

I would expect the UK and France at least to send troops. It's a matter of British national pride that we declared war on Germany the moment Poland was invaded in ww2. Perhaps several others would act, but not all. Most/all would provide less direct assistance.

Francois Lamelle had at least six children with his mulatto slave Marie Jeanne, then later freed her and two of their daughters. MJ later inherited part of FL's estate, including slaves (potentially some of her own children?). Imagine the dramas and rivalries in that family!

The mixture of races and of enslaved/enslaving is fascinating. There must be some incredible stories there, lost to time.
