Interesting article: "Migrating Off Legacy Tokio At Scale" Talks about one of Okta's codebases that adopted async Rust early and had to be updated. There are probably more than a few such cases!

The May 2025 Rust Jobs Report is out! Link below:

Had a fun conversation about all-things Rust with Herbert Wolverson. He has a great, high-level view of the community. Link below!

We did a very cool interview with Alan Chen, Head of Engineering at InfinyOn. They are rewriting data streaming in Rust. Check out the interview at the link below!

I am much less enamored with Docker than I once was.

Just did an awesome interview with @jonhoo.eu about his work at Helsing. Stay tuned for this one to drop!

A few weeks ago we asked a bunch of people who write Rust for work about how to get a Rust job. Almost half of them said they actually turned an existing job into a Rust job. So, we put together an article just about that. Check it out at the link below!

Did an awesome interview with Steven Wu of Scanner. They've used Rust across their stack, completely rearchitecting log analysis to build something much faster! Check it out! (link below)

When we created filtra, we took a leap of faith: post jobs for free. We knew this would put us at the front of the pack when it comes to Rust job boards. With the positive reception and even imitation we've seen (flattering😉), I think I can say this has proven to be the case...

Are there resources out there for learning Rust + robotics?

The April 2025 Rust Jobs Report is out! Link below:

Okay, I've finished the first draft of The KCL Book. Here's the complete guide to KittyCAD and defining 3D CAD models in code! Feedback very welcome. zoo.dev/docs/kcl/int...

We're seeing a surprising amount of Rust adoption in the defense space. It actually makes perfect sense, but it's just happening without fanfare, which is kinda different from what we've seen in other industries so far.

How come nobody is filling their free time by compiling absurd things to WASM to run in the browser anymore?

Big, huge thank you to those who took time to answer our survey!

Been excited to share this... We asked a bunch of professional Rust devs how to get a Rust job and distilled everything we learned into a guide! Link below!

A lot of people out there looking for a Rust job are probably not networking in the right places to find Rust jobs specifically.

After focusing so exclusively on building things for "people looking for Rust jobs" for such a long period of time, I have a strangely strong affinity for this little group.

If you're looking for a job where you can write Rust, we have 1000+ of them listed on our job board! You can filter them by location office style (remote, hybrid, in-person), seniority level, and industry

What are things that genuinely need to be rewritten in Rust?

Yes, we won't use a lot of the data, but having gotten a little further with the project, you can rest assured that this is still gonna be really useful!

Would you reach out to a recruiter for help finding a job where you can write Rust?

I think a lot of the data is going to get thrown out. Large sections feel either unhelpful or somehow flawed. Still have hope there will be interesting insights though in the end.

We've got an exciting interview coming up next week with a company that uses Rust heavily in the log analysis and security niche. This one's a bit of a deep cut. First person that can guess which company it is wins!

People over on the other app are fighting over sql. Where do you all come down on it?

Do you use browser bookmarks?

I find AI to be incredibly useful. I also find it unlikely that we are close to something that takes over software engineering or resembles "agi"
