i keep seeing people say that LLMs are good at search. NO. WRONG. You have just forgotten how good search used to be. Google broke it's own flagship product, and so you are accepting a demented chatbot's half baked gishgallop because we no longer have functional web search.

I hate linguistic drift. A group will come up with a useful term, it gets co-opted by another group who then complains that the term doesn't fit them right, they stretch the term so far beyond its original meaning that the original group now struggles to communicate what the term used to provide.

So... I'm gonna be a bit more blunt today in regards to AI usage in the TTRPG space. The harder it is made for folks using AI to find acceptance and gain traction, the less of it we will see. This means blocking them on Social Media, and reporting them on sites where they sell their trash.
