It’s almost like they can’t figure out what has caused such a retraction in growth. Couldn’t be that massive trading partner we walked away from could it?

At a time of unbridled anti trans hatred and the stripping back of rights, I’m not shocked that a trans person is detransitioning. Especially when detransition is largely due to lack of support. You can’t get more lack of support than the world we’re living in.

It’s frankly outrageous that she can say this publicly with absolutely no blowback. I just don’t understand how she’s allowed to waltz in and out saying such outrageous stuff with zero consequence.

Do we think they will actually cough that up? I didn’t realise this was going on but then I didn’t watch the whole thing. Outrageous. If you’re not on top of your brief and need notes, maybe you aren’t up to the job. Disgraceful arrogance.

Is that what she said?! They work for the government so if they can’t tell parliament who they’re getting legal advice from something is amiss

Lmao, did anyone drug test her on the way into this committee?

What a total loon. Yes, and that 100% contains a whole variety of experiences which aren’t defined by body parts. Absolute weapons grade stupidity.

Falkner trying not to be emotional about Duffield’s transphobic question is peak Oscar winning performance. What does she think trans people up and down the country are going through? The audacity of these people

All this shows so far is most MPs are not impressed and that Falkner thinks her title means she’s better than everyone. Doesn’t answer questions and obfuscates - a classically trained bigoted incompetent posing as someone with credibility

I watched a short clip and my only take from it is MPs are largely furious and Falkner’s title of Baroness makes her think she’s above and beyond any scrutiny from lowly MPs.
She’s a classic elitist snob and bigot. Probably would have been friends with the Mitfords.

People always think they know how they’d things. Everyone thinks they would do things differently whether that’s how to run a country, conflict or activism. The only way people can prove what they’d do differently is to put themselves in the shoes of those doing it. Otherwise it’s all massive noise

Shame we’re not making long term decisions that are better than the nuclear option

But that would be her right? She’s a member of the US administration so she’s sure got access to a special bunker.

I hope you find them and they are dealt with quickly.

But also what I think is more troubling is some of the older generation also think the younger generation should just work as hard as they did - without recognising the times are different. There is a genuine arrogance of some older people to be honest

Angry pensioner Reform voters.
My Dad is nearly 90, can probably afford heating on a civil service pension… but his argument would be he paid tax and worked all his life so he’s owed it when he’s vulnerable. That will likely be the argument for most of them

I love how they’ve just made up what that case was about - the meaning of the word woman…
It wasn’t was it? What a waste of a court’s time to rule on the meaning of a word in general. Except they didn’t and they ruled on a specific use case.

What blows my mind is how nobody is alert to the scale of Russia’s attack on the West. So many dismiss the threat because Russia don’t have the finance. You don’t need finance these days to conduct huge misinformation campaigns and this is their bread and butter

Incredible. I love it, more of this!

This is insane that they’re reporting on this like it’s just a matter of fact issue. This is fascism! This is an active authoritarian takeover and the media are like “they’re just helping with the issue in LA, now, the weather”
It’s fascism! Do your damn job journalists!
