I prefer the before pic. He looks more cuddly and fun. But I also think the difference in lighting … harsher lighting in the after pic, makes it less appealing too.

Were they ring, jam, or custard donuts? … or some other variety?

OMG… imagine, people sitting in their local doing lines of Theakstons Old Peculiar…

I don’t like the term ā€˜vegan leather’ but ā€˜plastic’ doesn’t really describe it accurately either, as it implies it is derived from crude oil. (Although not all plastic is). Needs a new term.

I wouldn’t be signing that one! X

… and that is why (in the UK) I argue with people who want to get rid of the BBC license fee… no adverts…

That sounds like me. (I’m 56) Guaranteed delighted dad reaction. Wonderful. I loved making my dad proud. Sadly, he died in May. I miss him so very much. Enjoy telling your dad your good news while you still have him XX

FYI… the link I sent does cover civil partnerships as well as marriage.

I’ve been rumbled! Never been keen on breakfast… when IF came along it gave me an excuse to not eat it. Brilliant.

I recently read an article about slaughter workers suffering from PTSD, mental health problems and flashbacks years after leaving the job. I am more surprised that some don’t.

Yes, absolutely. Of all the disgusting abuses people shut their eyes to, this is the one that makes me most sick. It’s so important to support organisations that promote medical testing without animals such as @afruk.bsky.social

You can stop replying to me any time you like. I have been vegan for over 10 years. I am interested in proper conversations around the treatment/use of animals, and why vegetarians are not vegan, but I’m not interested in the childish attacks and name calling you seem so keen on.

You’ve spent days attacking another vegan. I didn’t invite you to interact with me. You hijacked someone else’s post to aggressively demand that I answer your own questions. And now you don’t want me to reply because you realise you made a mistake. A simple ā€˜sorry’ would do.

I wasn’t trying to shut down anything. Quite the opposite. I was expressing my opinion that non vegans would not engage with the post and that only vegans would respond, which obviously does not further the vegan cause.

Good take. Yes, I hadn’t seen it that way.

Nope.

Yes, I am vegan. I don’t think I’ve been explaining my point very well. It was just meant as an observation. I think I’ll give up now! šŸ˜†
comment in response to post
Yes, sure, but if I were a vegetarian I wouldn’t reply to the post because it looks like a trap! The vegetarian would say something like ā€˜I don’t like killing animals’ and 100 vegans would jump on them to tell them they are evil and they participate in animal torture. They must know already, right?
comment in response to post
Thank-you. You’ve just reminded me to listen to them.

I’m not commenting on ā€˜random’ vegan posts. I’m a vegan commenting on a post from someone I follow. I did not invite you to interact with me.

Paul. I am not a vegetarian. You’re attacking the wrong person. I am a vegan. I was expressing my opinion that I didn’t think vegetarians would engage with the question the OP posed. Is that clearer now?
