this is far too niche of a theme to ever work, but imagine - your innie is who you are at PAX and your outie is the rest of you it's almost true in a way

for the record, as someone who has bought way too much PAX merch (both ever and specifically at East 2025), pax polos would totally rule don't stop doing what you're doing, but the PAX equivalent of this would be amazing www.pokemoncenter.com/product/741E...

@tychobrahe.bsky.social when is the last time we've seen Div? I feel like it's been an eternity

And what a win it was. Queen on queen violence to top off an 0-2 start reverse sweep.

That's what I figured, thanks! It looks so good with the red. It was a great choice for East for sure. Have a great show!

Meant "this app doesn't like bird app does" lol. Pax brain is real.
comment in response to post
Doesn't seem like bird app has DMs so I sent it to your LRR email.

Sure. GF is going too and also doesn't play Snap - does Graham need one also?
comment in response to post
Yeah, I always assumed it was like "Hop"

They're literally deporting dishwashers.

Turnout was also pretty massive - biggest protest I have ever seen here, and for good reason. If not now, when? People are being snatched off the streets, we're declaring economic war on the entire world (except Russia of course!), and we have a tyrant toddler king. We fought a war the last time.

Just send us something from EOE and we'll count it as good enough. (actually please do not, we have already had enough people send in literal government documents) Anyway while I'm here...for the curious, this is teammatehunt. 2025.teammatehunt.com

Of all things I worry about the US doing, enacting extreme sharia law is not one of them.

It's worth it to be rid of the X Nazis and Nazi-lite MAGA, but it's like spinning a roulette wheel of insane political ideologies. No joke, I have had to block Brazillian hyper-nationalist communist, Russian anti-democrat anti-rich, and Unironic anarchist goose cosplayer It's baffling.

I got a lot of hate recently for pushing back on a post that said the U.S. government was just as bad as Russia and Iran. Yes, it's pretty bad, but we're not hanging women in the streets for showing their hair.

Oh yes they do. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viktor_... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_An...

Given the number of people in my replies who want to think there's no difference between "the increasingly authoritarian, lawbreaking US" and "a country that does public hangings for apostasy and leaving one's head uncovered", I'm not so sure.

We absolutely should protest. I'm not advocating against that at all - I support it wholeheartedly. I'm advocating *against* normalizing some of the most murder-happy dictatorships in the world.
comment in response to post
And equating kidnapping to murder wasn't? Pretending some of the most authoritarian countries on the planet are equivalent to the US is just reality denial. What the US is doing right now to this lady (and others) is awful. Iran is currently hanging people in the streets. They are not the same.
comment in response to post
Nah, I'm going to keep using it to speak out against the worst offenders. It's preposterous to go "is the US as bad as Russia now??". We can, and should criticize the human rights violations of the US *without* making the absolute worst offenders seem better.
comment in response to post
True, there is a "yet" there. I hope it never happens, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried it might.
comment in response to post
Yeah, they tend to use bodybags. That's my point. Kidnapping this lady and detaining her is awful. It is still not *as awful* as straight-up murder.
comment in response to post
I understand you want to criticize the current U.S. regime, and it absolutely does deserve it, but no, even as authoritarian as it is becoming, it's not as bad. Don't make regimes that frequently murder their dissenters feel more normal. You aren't just putting the US down, you're bringing them up.

Balancing a budget also requires looking at revenue sources. You know this.

Furloughing our state workers and cutting money to food banks is "true to our values"? Absolutely not.

This is my #1 most missed feature from Twitter. I follow you, and would be fine seeing reposts from you, but can't, because I don't want to see reposts from my friends who repost 10x more than they post themselves.
comment in response to post
That's great, but still doesn't do the thing I want, which is reposts from most of my feed but not from the people who use it instead of their like button. On Twitter I would just mute retweets from those accounts and that would be great.

Every time I tell out-of-state friends how it works here they go "wait why don't we have that???" They know they should.
