So now, American prisons are so terrible that it's inhumane to send regular criminals to them? Sounds like he's admitting what the GOP has denied for 70 years.

Say what you like about Tom Cruise, he loves being a Hollywood movie star and I dig that about him.

Would love to write for this guy. (That’s as un-subtle as I can make it, Onion HR team.) Great piece.

Kinda sad! Shades of “The Fir-Tree” by HC Anderson here, TBH.

This strip has always seemed to be written by someone who loathes their characters. Not “sees their foibles,” not “warts and all,” just straight-up detests them. At least the Pluggers guy likes pluggers!

Surely you can't believe this. Trump could accept, say, a suitcase of $400 million in cash from Qatar as long as he promises not to let it influence him? Come on. This plane is that suitcase full of cash. It's straight-up, open bribery and corruption -- why won't the Times say so?

Great stories, thanks. America is actually loaded with careful, smart, fair-minded people like this who would be great SC justices or members of Congress. You meet them every day in local government. We just have a weird system that puts the opposite type in national government.

Agreed, feels like wishful thinking. Going back through Bush and beyond, being a jerk has never proven to be a liability for GOP candidates in TX.

I would LOVE to have a wealthy small-market owner willing to lose $100 million a year so we can have a fatter payroll. But TBH, I don’t think that person exists.
