I don't think they are horrible. I think they forgot that elections are literal popularity contests. The person that gets the most votes gets to govern. Simple as. Where were all the biggies this weekend? At a wedding? In the Hamptons? Tell me again my interests are being tended by...whom?

Man, I have this tickling in the back of my brain that was like when I first realized Trump might possibly, might actually win. The democrats are going to have to lose another election, maybe a couple more, before they figure this shit out.

How do we start electing people that will be subjected to the laws they pass?

I am with you. My "here" is not a geographical place but more a "circumstances we allow to happen with regularity" place. This make me think of Kyle and how that whole mess was handled. "Peacekeepers" sounds alot like "possie" to me.

So, is this murder? If not, what is it? When drive-by's were a thing they used to call them "mushrooms." They just pop up. I am not in favor of a gun being in the vicinity of the crime being justification for murder, or not murder at all. Are we sure we want to live here?
comment in response to post
"Peacekeepers?" So people with guns shot at people with guns, killing someone that had no gun?

Like most things Trump, everyone sees the grift and is aware that laws are being broken, but the people in positions of power just can't find the...whatever it is they need to tackle it. And on and on and on. Is having evidence of wanting? Are they all just bought and paid for, on both sides?

Well how have I never heard this before?

Yes! This is the meteor that needs to light up the political sky for...everyone.

Can they give me a limb I didn't have to begin with? Asking for a friend

Does he need some more? Mine is 1.2 milllion.

I dunno. Let's look at what we ask them to do and realize they don't have the training to do it. Don't defund but we need some Andy Taylors out here with the Dirty Harry's.

Yeah, "geese for peace." Your experience is somewhat different than mine. It is good to have geese on your side, though. They are ferocious. And such gossipers.

just anger. nothing else. fear, too, I guess. thank you for your services

Maybe this is the reason democrats are losing their asses. They have had the same resources and time that republicans have had and it really is just "go do it yourself" with them. Fuck that. I do my job. I give them support and the power and privilege they need. Get my fucking back for a while.

Thanks for weighing in. We disagree.

Why are you expecting us to fix this shit? I haven't made a million dollars by being in office. I am a working stiff that voted for my government officials to read the constitution and enforce it. Fuck your goddamn think piece putting this back on the people that live here.
comment in response to post
What about all these folk that have been elected to enforce the laws of this land? We just gonna have a get together and they are gonna all finally see the light? I think the future of this political event is easy: our elected officials ain't gonna do shit. Yet, they take everything we can give them
comment in response to post
The question is valid: what more power and privilege to they need to take action? Do they need time or money or access or a plan or what? Since 2016 I have been waiting for action on the things I have seen and all the laws that I am being told are being broken. Am I supposed to fix this? What?

Never forget Jesus broke out a flail on the people he felt were defiling his father's house. In the entirely of the Bible, the only ass Jesus whipped was a bunch of bankers but he did whip it. Sometimes you kick the tables over and leave a welt the likes of which come from the Son of God himself

Wouldn't it be wild to see some drug test results from this administration? Likely never happen, but, man what a cocktail we would be looking at with this group.

There is a place around here that makes a Venezuelan hot dog and I could hurt myself eating those things. That and the sweet potato fries.

Someone should show our senators a newspaper. Are the people getting snatched off the street and flown away news to them?
comment in response to post
What we need is impassioned oratory. That will show these people that they can continue what they are doing with little to no consequence. Wait a minute. That didn't come out right. Or did it? Have we elected the most milquetoast bunch of chickenshits ever or what? Totally clueless as to what to do

"new deck"
comment in response to post
Now do a flag with a bunch of senators with furrowed brows, peering over their spectacles, cuz looks like that is all that is coming out of this one. The quote can be "Make Oratory Great Again." Or better yet: "Yes. You are on your own."
comment in response to post
The founding fathers knew far better than anybody alive today what was possible from a fat bastard that thinks he is ordained by God to rule over us all. My amazement is in how are the other two branches this absolutely cowed by this person? It is like they are poisoned and he has the antidote.
comment in response to post
what more do we need to give you to do your job, friend? Need more money, better office, more privileges? Just say it. If you cannot be spurred to take action why don't you leave the hallowed halls and never come back. Otherwise do ONE FUCKING THING to fight this.
comment in response to post
Yeah, yeah. It wasn't the snatching folks up and shipping them overseas that is convincing us. It is your impassioned oratory. Now, when you get a tiktok sized bit for your newsletter, then what? Videos of furrowed brows are really great, but are you gonna help us out here or what?
comment in response to post
I support this take. Where they gonna put Sturgill?
comment in response to post
They have been snatching people off the streets for months and shipping them to foreign lands, man. WTF are you on about?
comment in response to post
Well, what are they not getting away with? My expectations are so low at this point, even I am impressed by it, and I didn't think they could get any lower. Man, we are on our own here. What sorry excuse for two political parties.
comment in response to post
Hahaha. "Defining moment?" What, did you link your venmo to this or something? Tell you what. You go and do your talking and you let us know how that turns out, won't you? Why didn't I think of condemning sooner.

"We the People" have been watching our elected officials "hold the administration accountable" for how many years now? Just say it: "We don't know what to do. We really don't have any power to speak of and will really do exactly what our doners demand. Sorry! On your own and always have been."
comment in response to post
Well thank the maker we have three branches of government and an entire other political party to put a stop to this. Or wait, does exercising any political power confuse people into thinking both parties are bad or what? Is that behind the inaction here?
comment in response to post
Hire security. It seems to be all the rage. Is there no arm of the law that protects Senators? I am having a hard time understanding why the Democrats can't go in buildings and now get kicked out of press conferences. Does not compute. Sets a hell of a precedent for those looking on
comment in response to post
They are elected members of Congress. We have put them in power. What the hell else do they need of US? They have privilege and power most of us only dream of. If the water is too hot, quit and go home. If you think it sucks in Washington, come on down to Funky Town and punch a clock
comment in response to post
Thanks for all the corrections. You have been at this for days. Reminds me of a hike I took once. Hiker: "can you eat that mushroom?" Guide: "You can eat any mushroom, some of them only once." Point taken.

People are interfering with you being able to do your job. What are you going to do about it? Has the law been broken or are we still creating new norms? Are you guys waiting on your constituents to take time off work and address this or have you got it?
comment in response to post
Haha. If only questions had been asked. He got kicked out and trussed up like a pig. Now let's see what happens.
comment in response to post
No, You won't. I have been listening to this shit since 2016. Slump back to your office and hide out until the donor class tells you what you are allowed to do to try and save face. This shit is on repeat with you guys. There are no more powerful people. You are it so just shut the fuck up.

Full frontal social media campaign. Full. Frontal. Multiple platforms. Social media campaign, like the framers intended. Talking about things. Relating to things. Engaging with the salt of the earth. That kind of thing.
comment in response to post
If only the framers had prepared a document for such an eventuality, we would know exactly what to do and what groups to look to. Been a while since civics. How many branches of government do we have? How long to knock this off if they wanted to, do you think?
