Convocation! #SFU

Definitely concerned for our neighbors to the south. open.substack.com/pub/thebulwa...

Great little walk today from Big Tribune to Little Tribune. Made Lorraine and Nicole go through the “cave “ part where you have to go when the tide is higher. They were not amused.

Sunset last night on Hornby. Pretty good but needed a few clouds to make it more interesting.

Beautiful evening on Hornby Island! A blue heron, flat calm water, Texada Island in the distance, and then the Coast Mountains!

This caterpillar is motoring across the grass! Not sure where they are going in such a rush but it must be important!

So then Elon goes "Kill the Bill!" and Trump goes "Elon has TDS!" so Elon goes "I'm the reason Trump won!" so Trump goes "we waste billions on Elon!" so Elon goes "Epstein!" and a corpulent flunkie goes "Deport Elon!" and Elon goes "Impeach!" And THAT'S why women are too emotional to be President.

Excitement builds!! My first GIA conference.

Active Pass was great today! Beautiful weather and two other ferries and a tug. No Russian freighter! Just barely see the tug at the end.

How long until TACO man TACO's again? www.cbc.ca/news/world/t...

After a long day at work it is very zen to just sit and watch the bees go to town on this plant. Not sure what it is but the blooms last for maybe a week, then done, but very popular while they are out!

that mountain cracking glacier landslide combo in Switzerland, in case you hadn’t been obsessively tracking it, happened. not good. a drone video youtu.be/ubf6QnNsUmA?...

A couple years ago Jason was asked to give the grads of his high school a speech. His speech was one that took a different path- that the lessons of life could best be learned from our four legged friends. The lesson of the dog.

Great article by Gordon Hoekstra @vancouversun.bsky.social on the complicated issue of who pays when houses are too dangerous to live in due to landslides? Technically should be the municipality or the Regional district as they let them build there. Complicated! vancouversun.com/feature/bc-p...

Hard to believe they’re talking about the same event.

What a pisser! Small Ants are excavating their way into the mason bee larva. They eat the pollen and nectar food, and even the larva. No wonder I didn’t have many larva last year. Going to put this one inside and try to keep the ants away . Any suggestions? #masonbees

Bees are loving our raspberry patch! You can probably hear them over the dog woofing in the background. I think it will be a good crop this year

This is awesome

I refuse to believe that "IDF shoots at Canadian diplomats after confusing them with innocent Palestinians" isn't a fucking Beaverton headline

Absolutely beautiful evening here on Hornby Island. Unfortunately you don’t see or hear the sea lions that were out there. Coast mountains looked fantastic!!

Looked up "Quebec landslide" and this was one if the top hits. So this is what passes for news?? www.ctvnews.ca/montreal/vid...

Fords Cove with some excellent chocolate brownies and taphony weathering! And Bailey found sone really tasty cedar bark! Wins all around!

INSANE !! 😱 Evolution of the upper NW face of Klein Nesthorn this afternoon (2:00 to 6:40 pm) The whole mountain is collapsing... 🏔️❄️🧊 www.aargauerzeitung.ch/schweiz/droh...

Bailey having fun at Whaling Station Bay. Good time to go off lead with few people around.

Never thought I would be a member of the dog stroller crown but here we are…..

Sonething to take your mind off all the bad stuff.

Already + 100,000 m3 fallen from the Klein Nesthorn N face at ~3200 m asl, and something between 1 to 5 Millions m3 more are 'forecasted'... 😱 That's quite a thing! Blatten village evacuated 😭 The 'Crumblocene' is definitely a nice time to live! 🏔️🌊 www.20min.ch/fr/story/can...
