Obviously we need to get all of our new players signed and settled in by next Friday or the newspapers will have the dreaded broken shield and dire headlines. Thanks Andrew, glad Barcelona was good but then it always is. 🙂

4 pence for the lot! That's my final offer and I wont accept any more than that.

Only the best for The Arseblog. Apart from Bukayo Saka I can't think of a better guest for you. Well done everyone.

Thanks Andrew, not the best day to be an Arsenal blogger is it but good stuff as ever. Nwaneri! Is he being punished for some unknown indiscretion, has he broken Arteta's BBQ, or caught trying to chat up his wife? Why else has he been suddenly benched, it doesn't make sense to me. Cheers mate.

For a blog to raise £60,000 in 30 days from its own income and donate it all to charity is quite something Andrew. You and the crew should be extremely proud of yourselves along with the terrific readership.

Saliba has made serious mistakes in the last few weeks but what everyone should remember is he is still very young in Centre Back terms and his consistency throughout his Arsenal career is exceptional. If Tony Adams had Salibas record he would be even more of a hero. Too much football is the problem

Cheers Andrew enjoy the bank holiday, well earned by all at Arseblog Towers.

Earliest St Totteringhams day ever this year redeems him.

No, he isn't worth three figures.

What a pair of games. As you know I'm a veteran of the Fairs Cup in '70 and Double in '71 and have some wonderful memories of everything that has happened since. This is up there with all those good times & hopefully we get to the final so that one of our old boys can see us up close. Taxi for Kane.

Newspapers don't like printing stories that are positive because they don't help their precious circulation figures. They don't care about giving their readers informed information just their own narrative whichever way they lean, especially here in the UK. I assume/hope Finland is better served.

Real aren't having their best of seasons are they! They struggled again this weekend, lost the two league games before playing us and Barcelona are, sadly like Liverpool over here, miles ahead in the league. I like your references to the Christian brothers etc., very apt. Thanks Andrew.

Shortly before he dropped to the ground, 3,4 minutes, Jorginho was shown holding his chest and in obvious pain. In the live ast you said you hadn't seen it so I presume DAZN were doing their adverts, again. You're good company when I'm watching The Arsenal on my own. Thanks mate.

Still coming down from an incredible high last night. What a fucking performance and what a fucking team. You summed up the discussion on Rice's two goals perfectly Andrew, I think I'll go with the child's point of view and say both for different reasons. Thanks mate.

Poor woman. She is really talented and I hope that when she is ready to settle down she gets employed, or works for herself, doing what she loves which is drawing. She also shows her caring side worrying about her friends still being held by a thug regime. Welcome home Becky good luck in the future.

The Everton player jumped up immediately after the "foul" and called for the ball so even he didn't think it was a penalty.

Golden period my arse! Terrific article explaining the stupidity of it all. Thanks Philippe.

Poor Gabriel, we had two or three occasions when he went down holding his "hammy" during games in recent weeks and perhaps he should have been taken off and rested and not risked a season ender. Overplayed would be my diagnosis.

Morning Andrew, I searched games we played in the 1970-71 Double Winning team & the club played 64 games. We used 16 players. The same season England played 7 games, I assume that was the same for most countries so our top players played a total of 71 games The difference is the intensity today.

My lovely wife decided on a trial run of Atheist Buns this weekend. They are lovely and as it is only us we have a dozen to share. There will be more at Easter. Atheist Buns are the same as hot cross but without the cross. When I tell friends who are Christian they get the knock which pleases me. 🙂

I'm glad that Lana is doing well and the post this morning got me wondering, how many of your current followers remember the Arseblog Bassett Hound? I'm not a dog lover, I have the scars, but she always seemed like a nice friendly and harmless hound. Good stuff as always.

UEFA and prompt action are an anathema! Even if what those players had done was actually wrong and seriously wrong at that it would still be September before they convene a committee. Good stuff as ever and great news about Mr Saka.

May your house be filled with Shamrock, Whisky, Guinness and happiness this Paddies Day. Have a good one Andrew and all Irish Gooners.

I'd much prefer our players refused to play international football and remained at Highbury and got a bit of a break from the pressure of matches. I'm not stupid enough to not realise that it's impossible, when play for England they often return with having being cabbaged in training or a match.

Good stuff as ever Andrew, I couldn't understand that penalty being disallowed last night and even less so now I've seen that slow motion. Talk about a stitch up. Are they going to give us Michael Oliver reffing us for both legs so they can card every player? I don't trust uefa!

Oops, Sunday morning error is my excuse, that and 74 years. 👴

I suppose the usual bloggers, not yourself obviously, will be trawling through the Atletico squad and selecting our signings in the summer that Berta will be bringing with him. Let's hope that terrible united turn up this afternoon and our PSG mood continues.

At his press conference today all Arteta needs to do is refer to the blog Andrew, that was almost word for word every one he gives. I hope you get into the swing of things today mate, 'Four!

F1 have concerts after Gran Prix's why not do that? In a concert venue obviously not on a football pitch.

How did you get Stan out of the bookies long enough to have a meal?

Those were the days, half time pint in hand watching them trudge through the mud in the penalty area, the conductor throwing his mace up and everyone hoping he would drop it, again! 😀

Play the Under 21's perhaps. It would be great to see but I don't think it would be sensible though.

Spot on Andrew, now, what do we do to improve refereeing in the leagues? I suppose getting shot of PGMOL and the twat Howard Webb. Like sorting out the UK economy it will take years.

They can't be any worse than him and at least they would try.

We've got young lads twiddling their thumbs on the bench every game who would surely be more productive than Sterling, the human inanimate object. Shouldn't we give one a go?

Very sad, he left us with some great memories and terrific performances, The French Connection being my favourite. This is a conspiracy theorists dream though isn't it.

I'm in the UK and that Medicare note sounds daft. They are going to pay for a call to the patient to tell the them they can longer call them, because of the expense, and the patient must now visit the surgery causing a much higher cost. Where is the cost saving? All I can see is more expense

It's a tenner on us doing the double then Andrew. Actually I fancy us for the League as a veteran of '71 and '89 and the improbability of the Invincible season. Hope springs eternal. 🙂

Poor Tomi, having had a long term injury myself my heart goes out to him, "the end of the year", christ! I was just a mason but Tomi was/is at the peak of his career and it could all be over for him. I really wish him well, a quick and full recovery and say fuck you dickheads who criticise him.

Regarding introducing Automated VAR @ the arse end of the season, hasn't the same Prem League refuse to bring in something that improves the league mid season because it would go against sporting integrity? I'm sure they have but being a septuagenarian with ragged memory I couldn't say what it was.

I was commenting on the quoted article above, I wouldn't go near their websites. (Shudder)

Other than not wishing to upset a sponsor, Why? I always thought that The Arsenal was above such behaviour. I was very surprised we accepted the sponsorship even if it is not (directly) with the Rwandan government.
