Yes, thanks Secretary Pete. The whole Republican Party needs to be held accountable for this. They own this shit-show and the further damage they will do with their budget - cutting foreign assistance resulted in world-wide deaths - cutting Medicare and Medicare will do the same in the US!

Would have helped more if Mitch, Susan and the rest of the Republican wussies had convicted after Jan 6th impeachment -- gotta hold the right people accountable and stop passing the blame.

It's no accident...he wants to keep his base ignorant and in the dark happily screwing tiny screws into cellphones - this is the Republican Party's plan for America - their silence and inaction means they agree and are complicit.

MAGA's need to read the Bible they say they follow: "The alien who resides with you shall be to you as the citizen among you; you shall love the alien as yourself, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God." Leviticus 19:34

He's right - Musk's cuts also stopped TB & HIV treatment in adults & kids which will result in deaths & the development of drug resistant strains - some of which will be untreatable. These strains will make their way to the US & infect Americans. Stopping diseases overseas protects Americans

Whether they do what they should or not, they are still accountable for their failure to convict

Actually this goes to Mitch McConnell, Susan Collins and the rest of the Republican Party who could have convicted him after he was impeached for Jan 6th but they chose not to. If they had, he could not have run for President.

@balint.house.gov thank you Rep. Balint for speaking out & supporting federal workers. It's been an honor and privilege to serve as a federal worker for the past 21 years...now RIFed. Our country is losing dedicated federal workers who - as you point out - are the backbone of the federal govt 🙏

😏 Everything would have been different if the Republican party had a spine and convicted the mango Mussolini so he was banned from running for president again.

@schumer.senate.gov @hakeemjefferson.bsky.social @maddow.msnbc.com @aoc.bsky.social @repjasmine.bsky.social Republicans now own this disaster -- it's the Republican economy. Keep pushing this narrative so next election the public will know what an economy looks like under Republicans!!

Trump being able to run for President is on the Republicans! They - led by Mitch McConnell - had 2 opportunities to convict following 2 impeachments and they chose not too. If they did, Trump would have been banned from running for office.

I would prefer my taxes go to pay off student loans than to these guys (👇) -- their taxpayer funded Congressional salaries should be garnished to repay their PPP loans and redirected to student loan forgiveness

At every level...why do people continue to vote against their interests?

while they worship a 'man' who cakes on more orange makeup than a drag Queen & wears lifts, and 'manly' defsec who installed a makeup room in the pentagon with taxpayer money...sure, childishly pick on Sec Pete who has more integrity and intelligence than the tangerine kings entire cabinet 🤭

The Republican run economy. Remember this when you're in the voting booth 🫣. Dems have repeatedly dug the country out of the Republic run economy after Bush - after Trump 1.0 - and will need to do it again after Trump 2.0

Thank you Republic Party - Cabinet & Congress - clearly smashing the myth that Republicans are better at the economy. The public needs to remember - and reminder of - this when voting in the future. Only a few mos ago, the Dems economy was hailed as 'the envy of the world'!
comment in response to post
Him along with the entire Republican Congress & Cabinet -- the current market crash is the REPUBLICAN CRASH and demonstrates how 'good' they are at economics. I long for the days of a Democrat economy that was the envy of the world - was it really only 3 mos ago? 🤦🏻‍♂️

last time he abandoned the Kurds...so no surprise. The challenge will be when we seek allies in difficult environments in the future and they all say NO as they don't want to stand up and then be abandoned - his actions are doing irreparable long term damage to the US global standing and influence
