Library at Mount Char is one of my favorites. When you feel hollow after it finishes, check out American Elsewhere by Robert Jackson Bennett.

Only sorta, I was a product of Ohio Speech and Debate too and had to wrestle with that during his debate with Walz. I, and many of my friends from high school and college, could have easily turned into Vance with different stimuli.

He named his dog Atlas after Atlas Shrugged. There's a familiar undercurrent of Randian libertarianism in the Ohio Speech and Debate system that wafts off him like a stench. Shallow ideas supported by pretentiousness and being willing to talk longer than anyone is willing to listen.

Check out Wanderers, it is the start of his golden age — everything he’s written since then is incredible

Sort of reminds me of the folks taking pick up artist classes. Clueless, dealing with a population that they don't understand but desperately want something from, they turn to a formula and do it over and over again til it works. Except now instead of negging, it's egging.

I've been casually harassing our congresswoman to do more the past couple weeks. Being reminded about how she defeated Nida Allam in 2022 was upsetting, we could have had a much better communicator.

I've been watching the Ask Historians subreddit and had a thought the other day, "How's Harry Turtledove taking all this? He's thought about this...a lot."
Turns out it's about as expected. You've been warning about this my entire adult life.

Lock In is my favorite of his books. I really hope he gets a chance to return to the world. The bonus ebook that dove into the world building was also really fun

@foushee.house.gov You should go as well. Would have actually loved it if you'd gone this weekend, but the best time to plant a tree is yesterday, but the second best time is now.

Have your team clip out just your "they're ripping off all Americans" statement and reupload it. Folks aren't going to click through and watch 37 seconds of preamble to get your message. It is a good message and is worth sharing
I'm super encouraged by your tone! Thank you for fighting
