Just reupping the helpful little song

How many LAPD officers do you need? This many apparently.

“Tasted a little tear gas— tasted like fascism”

I am out. My body, nose, and throat are still covered in tear gas. I’ll leave you with a photo @angryf.bsky.social sent me. I am working hard, I promise. ~Venmo~ is joeyneverjoe if you wanna support my work. You can subscribe to my newsletter, too. Link is in the bio!

Using the American flag to symbolic effect at protests against the Musk/Trump regime isn’t appealing to fascism, and it is incredibly counterproductive and stupid to believe to is.

The best place to get coverage of the protests in LA is from video from individuals on the scene. The totalitarian government is lying about them and the traditional media is largely unreliable — complicit or fatuously both-sidesey.

“Where’d you serve?” “Aisle 30 — bath, plumbing, faucets, kitchens and electrical.”

Fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you

Yeah I guess LeBron putting up a 22.6 PER is pretty special, but it's not that impressive when you compare him to people rolling out of bed and firing off something like this at age 86.

One of these photos is how HBO's The Watchmen depicted a fascist police force back in 2018 The others are real photos of the ICE agents who are rounding people up and disappearing them in Boston, Denver, L.A., and elsewhere

Countries around the world need to start asking, how can the U.S. possibly host the World Cup in 2026? How would foreign visitors feel safe coming here?

I keep seeing Stephen Miller tweets and every single one of them makes him sound like the most overdramatic little wizard in an anime for dumb babies

Cannot stress enough that this is a pitiful action by a weak, scared, pathetic group of insecure, wannabe authoritarians, and they should be mocked until the end of time for wanting to bring in the military over some people protesting them at a Home Depot.

I believe nonviolent protest is critically important and in fact the single most effective driver of change (that doesn’t come with an indefensible body count) I also believe the time to lecture protesters on protest tactics during a fascist incursion is after you got arrested with them

the white house thinks brute force is, no pun intended, a trump card. they don’t anticipate pushback and they don’t know how to handle it with anything other than escalation. the issue is that each escalation is itself a gamble. if protesters refuse to back down, you’ve lost face. (1/?)
