I guess it is the āwanting toā that is so miserably and flagrantly missing here. No one even seems to want to appear to be doing the right thing. They just do not care about public opinion. God knows whatāa next.

That is so very radically untrue though. USA historically and currently sees itself as āleader of the free worldā with the largely unchallenged right to interfere with politics at the local level all over the world, including by force. Theyāre liars but maybe that is too ridiculous even for them.

I agree! But even as a middle aged Pakeha lady with little exposure to the justice system, I feel a bit anxious when I see a policeman⦠it is not necessarily logical. I can totally see how others could be legitimately apprehensive.

I am none of these things and I still feel nervous around the police. But I was a child through the springbok tour, and Louise Nicholas and I have absorbed my fear of the police through my whole life

Hm watched through to the end and still uncertain about the whole endeavor and agree Stephen Graham is so good! I have watched āParadiseā but I do find myself leaning into genre stuff at the moment, it is very watchable!

And being fish biscuits you really do want them to find and eat every random one scattered into the corners or under the couch, because you will KNOW about it smell-wise if you miss one

I watched the first episode last night. Itās good in the ways people are saying but the discomfort shock and pain is all about the boy and his family. Somewhere thereās a girl who died, but sheās a cipher, this is about a crisis of masculinity(it is so sad for boys to be like this) I disliked it.

Almost the thing I resent about him the most is that I almost feel nostalgic for the Key era and the Collins days. Which were BAD times.

I think winding into a ball at the start from the skein is a good idea - but it really takes two people - I have attempted to wind it around upturned chair legs but you can probably imagine the terrible results!
