The article headline is a bit misleading. She didn't win her case, the Supreme Court just said that the case must be retried without the higher standard of proof for straight people. It is more procedural.

If anyone else talked about their relative who died after a sudden case of prostate cancer at 82, you'd go, "hmm, well at least they lived a long life". Dude is 82, was the most powerful man on earth, and let his own ego turn this country over to a bunch of fascists. My sympathy is at 0.

I think it would be fine. That rule is there mostly to stop people from making entries that use other IPs, like a diorama that looks like star wars, even if it uses warhammer bits.

I mean, the funny thing is that the one thing that has revitalized the American mining industry is renewable energy. It has caused a massive spike in copper demand that has fueled a lot of expansion and strong profits at a lot of mines in the southwest. Coal is still screwed though.

I always find it funny that the most capable Romanov, Nicholas Konstantinovich, was exiled for being too much of a fuck boi and ended up basically turning Tashkent into a modern city, and even the Bolsheviks were like "yeah this dude is cool".

I don't think they actually pulled from chatGPT. Instead, I think that chatGPT is trained on a bunch of weirdo mercantalist-libertarian blogs and substances, and is weighted to value that stuff more. And those people are the ones who the freaks in the Trump administration listen to.

The funny thing is that if congress so chose, they could easily pass a motion revoking his use of the emergency powers act to place these tariffs, you wouldn't even need to break a filibuster to do it thanks to it being related to budget remediation.

At least we get to look forwards to JD Vance and Tusli Gabbard gunning down Musk on the Key Bridge.

Let's be fair, not everyone can stand up to those jack booted thugs at the FDA like you, we should forgive her.

We have discovered the surprising fact that Transgenders are in fact necessary for the safe operation of airlines. Early testing and analysis indicates that the smoke from clove cigarettes actually calms the machine spirits of the aircraft.

But that would be divisive! How could we possibly prosecute people for obvious corruption and violations of human rights! Think of how bad it will look when the NYTimes writes a bunch of condescending editorials about needing to move on!

I've just found the best hack. Swear in your search request. It's a great way to bypass the AI summary and make your search history look like you're chronically pissed off at everything!

Makes it really hard to stan Union Generals, since pretty much all of them (except George H. Thomas) were just doing so many war crimes against Native Americans. Like yeah, Sheridan was a badass who fucked up the Shenandoah and kicked J.E.B. Stuart's incompetent ass, but he did some horrific shit.

Krieg honestly paint up pretty easily, at least the kill team did for me. You can get a pretty close match to the french WW1 blue with Dark Reaper and then it is just a matter of painting in the trousers, leather, guns, and wrappings.

I mean there is always making some quick character images for a D&D campaign when the players decide they don't want to stop the demon lord but instead want to run a tavern, though people no-show all the time when on a VTT so even that is questionable.

I maintain that Trump's success is based on just two things. 1. Democrats were the incumbents during two years of 8%+ inflation. 2. Americans are angry, and he was the only politician on stage (both in 2016 and 2024) who was actually angry too.

*Steven Seagal lurches into frame* Hey Bashi, hows it going. Want to go pick some carrots with Lukashenko? *Bashar puts his head in his hands* I'm an optometrist for Allah's sake! *Seagal tilts head* But carrots are good for your eyes! *laugh track plays* NEXT WEEK ON SEAGAL HYPE HOUSE!

Democrats seem to be willfully ignorant of how they won in 2018. Pretty much every ad that election cycle was on Trump's attempt to overturn the ACA and remove protections for pre-existing conditions, and they had the largest congressional sweep in recent memory.

I think a huge part of this is that people have gotten burned out of the number of scams and fishing links that get put on twitter. Especially under Elon where the moderation has taken a dive. On bluesky if you see a link, it is probably going to what the post is talking about, so you trust it.

I always find the whole trad-wife thing dumb for this reason. Most women throughout history *worked*. You had to if you wanted to eat. They worked on farms just as hard as the men, wove, cooked, mucked stables, herded animals, fixed things, etc. This idea of the idyllic house wife is profoundly dumb

The conspiracy theory I've always believed is that gun companies actually funnel dark money to democratic presidential campaigns since they know their sales skyrocket when a democrat is in office and that no actual regulation will get done.
