I agree tho that it's needlessly hard to find to the point of obvious anti-user behavior

As a 6 year old, that was a very good and important lesson for me to learn at the time. I dont see a world where we benefit from restricting that knowledge based on a personal beliefe that guns SHOULDN'T be around. They are around. Kids need to know how to not accidentally kill people with them.

I learned gun safety around that age. I learned that it wasn't a toy or a game and if I was irresponsible people could get hurt or die. We can teach more than one thing at a time. Putting our heads in the sand and pretending there aren't more guns than humans in this country is not a good path.

Frankly, in 2025, this take is delusional. It's not going to happen. We should accept the reality and teach kids how to not accidentally blow their faces off when they come across one

Kindergarteners will eventually be adults. Why wait? I was taught gun safety around that age. The curriculum doesn't need to include disassembly, reassembly, or live fire to cover the basics. Its not a toy, don't point it at things, don't look down the barrel like a dumbass. Etc.

Good thing we have a comparable level of firearm proliferation compared to the rest of the world, otherwise this comparison wouldn't make much sense

I really don't know how a programmer would "own their masters records" but there's definitely something to be said about doing finite salary work on a product that might be sold for the next 20 years.

If you invert your perception of the universe and accept that we are not on the floor, rather hanging from the ceiling... that too fixes the handedness

easiest example of how pervasive social media addictions actually are and how illprepared people are to resist or address them. the site sucks. you get AI bots, you get porn bots, or you get nazis. its like using the internet in the pop-up pre adblock era, and people still find excuses to stay

Laughs in Zune because I still have mine and it just works. One of the best tech devices ever made. It even had a radio!

I think you're missing the part where every company does things to keep costs down then pockets 100% as profit rather than passing the savings to the consumer. But in theory, yes, tech could reeduce the need for labor. In practice, it just offloads it to the customer.

I say this as someone who is bi and feel like Disney's spat of inclusivity has been a late and toothless pantomime of good behavior. It was a performance. For money. Thats how I've seen it for some time now. And yes I am bitter because, respectfully, people like you bought it up. For money.
