My autism disables me when my needs aren't met. I require accommodations and support to get my needs met. This is why it's a disability for me even though I'm not always actively disabled by it. Autism can not actively disable a person and still be a disability. I hope that helps. 🙂

This is generally how I feel about the "free buses" idea. If Mamdani tries and only gets, say, 10 free bus routes and has to compromise by instead providing dedicated bus lanes and other things that improve service, that's a win! We should want elected officials to attempt bold things.
