You can argue as an intellectual exercise about whether this would be the right course of action for some hypothetical competent administration with a coherent strategy. But if you're trying to answer a practical question about what should happen in our actual universe, that's not really relevant.

If this person were to google "democrats policy priorities" they'd immediately be handed up the party's platform. But yeah, if you passively follow political media and wait for journalists to tell you what Dems want, it won't happen. The media's just too fundamentally broken for that.

I respect your work, but as someone who grew up in a rural area & watched those around me choose ignorance over education and cruelty over compassion at every turn, I'll bash them however much I want to. Rural America drove us into this ditch and they can't blame others for their own ignorance.
