Saw a Bluesky person introducing themselves by saying "probably lefter than you". Made me think about what that means. On social media, "left" seems to be conflated with goodness. I might not be smarter than you, but I am a *better person*. I *care more* about other people.

I have noticed a trend where people try to bully others in to caring about specific issues that are out of their sphere of influence. "Are you even human, bro?" I choose what I care about and I choose what I don't care about. Self-righteousness is a very unattractive quality.
