Oh hey, NYT, is it men they want barefoot, pregnant, and in the kitchen? So hard to determine.....

Seems like it should be a bigger deal that Trump planned to send migrants to Libya, where the UN found migrants were literally enslaved — and worse. “Hell on earth for migrants” apnews.com/article/liby...

I guess they are broadcasting how rebellion will be handled

Thank you, Senator Murphy!

Not only are they ignoring climate change—they’re trying to cover up the cost. Shutting down NOAA’s disaster tracking so we can’t see the BILLIONS it’s costing us? This ain’t solving the crisis—it’s hiding it.

Cato Institute’s Director of immigration studies 👇🏽

Another brainless and damaging cut, I’m so disgusted

Don’t look away. This is what Libya’s migrant detention facilities look like. This is what Trump is doing. Amnesty International called Libya’s migrant detention centers a “hellscape,” where beatings and sexual violence are rampant and there are many reports of trafficking and even slavery.

You know that Twilight Zone episode where the kid has amazing psychic powers and can make people disappear with his mind and the entire town is hostage to him and has to cater to his every whim? That’s us right now.

If as President you answer “I don’t know” when asked if you’ll follow the Constitution, you have violated your oath of office and should be removed.

Things the president of the United States said on meet the press today: He doesn’t know if he has to follow the constitution He’s fine with a recession Americans can do with less Small businesses are just “a couple of little businesses”

Sometimes it feels like we all live in an enormous car and they keep yelling “we’re defunding the brakes!”

Miller, Homan, Martin, Kennedy, much of this administration is an extremist freak show. Normalizing them is profoundly dangerous and happening every day. Every story about them should detail their unfitness.

I still can't believe people are getting snapped up and sent to foreign torture prisons without due process. I still can't believe people are still using the word "deported." I still can't believe elected representatives have gone on record that it's also okay to do this to US citizens. WTAF.

The stupidity of eliminating food safety…simply unimaginable that this was on their to do list, but here we are

Walz: You have a situation where the Secretary of Health basically said it and was speaking with the language of eugenics, that some people just don't matter. People like Deanna's son or my son or those of you listening tonight. So look, this is a fight we must win.

Grateful to the unions, local governments & nonprofits who filed this suit yesterday to block Trump’s unconstitutional fed workforce cuts. This isn’t just about jobs — it’s about defending democracy, checks & balances, and the rule of law. Watching this one closely!

Doesn’t “I assume they preordered” equate to agreeing that tariffs are a bad idea?

BREAKING: Police just surrounded Rev. William Barber, prominent activist and pastor, as he and others prayed in the U.S. Capitol Rontunda. Police then expelled everyone (including press!) from the Rotunda to (presumably) arrest them. I've covered protests here a lot. Never seen anything like it.

Yes! We need to stop burning things, simple as that

A kidnapping, yes. And I’d argue removing non-citizens by snatching them off the street with no due process is also not deportation but disappearing and kidnapping

I think @amandalitman.bsky.social is correct here

This. You can’t just say someone is a criminal and throw them in jail without a trial, especially to a foreign prison. This is outrageous. AND it is not a crime to be a gang member, you have to be proven in a court of law to have committed criminal acts

Hello friends, you are not alone, most people care about climate change and want government to do more! #climate

US citizens are *not* being “deported.” They’re being kidnapped and sold into slavery. The words matter.

NEW — I wrote about Beker Rengifo, a Montana resident from Venezuela who was taken by ICE on Thursday after a routine traffic stop, and how local law enforcement is working with the feds to ensnare people with legal status.

All people are entitled to due process in any functional democracy. That the arrest of Judge Hannah Dugan was announced by FBI Director Kash Patel's on social media is indicative of the true goal of this action - to intimidate other judges into complying with this admin’s authoritarian goals.

I’m not going to retweet that NOAA propaganda post about deep sea mining. Instead, I’ll tell you that I don’t know a single NOAA scientist who would promote deep sea mining in this way, because the available science we have does not justify exploitation of deep sea habitats for minerals.

Not normal

Clown car

It was a good run while it lasted… coloradosun.com/2025/04/24/c...

Not the way!

There is an entire political movement that believes the statement “if you work full-time in America, you should be able to pay your bills and have a savings account with your paycheck” is radical. We must come to an agreement that it’s not radical to demand that.

CARTOON OF THE DAY (From Adam Zygus)

This is racist, segregationist, and deeply antithetical to the ideals of America. Take a bow, John Roberts, you did it. You enabled the worst people to do the worst things. You’re the worst Chief Justice in US history.

Really great to see someone say what needs to be said over and over: lots of those executive orders are bullshit grabs for powers the president doesn't have--unless we give it to him, and that starts through misinformation.

"What would it mean if this silent climate majority woke up – if its members came to understand just how many people, both in distant lands and in their own communities, think and feel like they do? How might this majority’s actions – as citizens, as consumers, as voters – change?"

Yes, all of them

Nobody should get thrown in foreign prisons, everyone should have due process, but what this guy is conveying is that when Trump starts illegally throwing citizens into foreign prisons, they will not try to stop him

Impeach the kidnapper-in-chief

Ok but there were an estimated 100,000 in NYC alone so… www.reuters.com/world/us/tho...

🧵 A little retrospective on today’s march in NYC, which, I’m hearing, drew 100,000 people into the streets—as massive as the one on 4/5. The vibe was anguish plus pitchforks-are-next resolve. In the 30 yrs that I’ve done Earth Day events this was the first one featuring STOP THE GULAGS signs. 1/

Thousands of regular people peacefully gathering at the Capitol to stand up for what’s right

Yes, sadly! We must stop them

Thank you to Rep Casten for on-point no nonsense answers to Tapper. I hope it gets through to BB readers

If wind and solar can again quadruple their share in the next 10 years we will be at 100%

I know a lot of US citizens only care about US citizens, so I'll just go ahead and point out: when ICE arrests you, the due process would be the point where you prove you can't be deported because you're a US citizen. Without it, there's nothing stopping them from sending you to CECOT forever.

Just Republican voters in Iowa calling carbon capture and storage projects “a scam and a boondoggle” and threatening to vote out GOP legislators who don’t take a stand against eminent domain land seizures for CO2 pipelines. www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/p...
