Iām not a fan of hardbacks but I will buy them if Iām desperate to read a new book. I find them difficult to hold and cumbersome if I want to take them out on the go. Iāve bought more recently as there are so many new books/ sequels but wouldnāt buy them by choice. #sundaymorningbookchat

I mostly enjoy audiobooks. There have been a few adult ones I havenāt enjoyed as much. I have listened to some great audiobooks for children- including the Greenwild books! I think the narrator makes a big difference!

Iāve always loved history generally. However, with someone like Emma Carroll I think her writing is so good and immersive that I feel like Iām transported back to the time books are set in. It becomes less about the act of reading and more about the imagination!

I love fantasy in particular. Loved Tyger by SF Said, The Hunt for the Golden Scarab, The Whisperwicks etc. But also a fan of historical fiction - pretty much anything by Emma Carroll. Really like The Valley of Lost Secrets too by Lesley Parr.

Ooo Iād say different books depending. Generally something like Secrets of a Sun King by Emma Carroll in Year 5. They are fascinated by the Ancient Egyptians. My Year 4 class loved Wild Robot because they found it really funny. The Valley of Lost Secrets also went down a treat! They loved Ronnie.
