democrats posting through it as they abdicate their responsibility to be a check and balance to prevent authoritarianism:

it's why it started with threatening those who informed others of their rights and once that didn't land, they just started moving in silence.
it's almost as if they know that people will exercise their rights and it's demanded more dishonest tactics.

like, there's only so many people who can act as checks and balances and it's a bonus for them to tie up the system and waste resources.
there needs to be consequences and calls to put a pause on all deportations or we're just aiding and abetting human rights violations.

this happening after i gave her a friendly wave to back up and she mockingly waved back.
the speed at which it happened is why karma is the only spiritual energy i respect.

it's an analysis that only works in one direction, too. we're supposed to believe that bigotry won't chase people away but asking someone to respect pronouns will? okay 🥴

from a quality and price standpoint, target has long been seen as barely a step above walmart. their grocery section isn't even that big or diverse in its offerings.
to me, their only saving grace was their values cause the "target exclusives" weren't hitting either so this outcome makes sense

i understand - media is still a business. there's an obvious need to support yourselves with something and if not information, then what?
but, the idea that ANYTHING is an opportunity to capitalize poisons the entire view of the media landscape. it's why the sentiment now is "doing it for clicks"

ghoulish that they speak so confidently about unilateral authority over people that they ignore once the ballot box is closed

like, putting aside that this is coming from jd vance: two time pope opp, i'm so confused on how this is a scandal while it's being actively debated if trump has dementia.

like, it's very easy to make this a big deal when presented as "oh? so ANYONE with influence shouldn't disclose conflicts of interest?"
but that's not what's happening! not even close!
what about The Onion is so influential that it warrants this? my guy you can put the phone down!
