I think I got this from @gergely.pragmaticengineer.com but recommend relentlessly blocking notifications from apps that abuse it for spam.

Wish this one worked in Excel!

Very kind but I’m other side of London. Doing the official demo is on the todo list though!

I wish. I only have the Q2 at present but I do plan to buy something new in the next few years (not necessarily meta). I’ve been collecting lidar scans (via the amazing Polycam app) of various environments so I’m looking forward to “revisiting” them in VR when I finally upgrade.

I’d quite like to see you present a CT scanner for the hot hardware segment :-)

So the AVP is definitely in a league of its own on paper but I wouldn’t write-off other platforms. One of my favourite experiences on Q2 was exploring enlarged CT scans of small motors, insects, etc. Really sold me on the educational value of VR.

“Vision Pro has an 11.7MP (3,660 × 3,200) per-eye resolution (we know this thanks to the hard work of iFixit) which means it has 2.6× the pixels of Quest 3’s 4.5MP (2,064 × 2,208) per-eye resolution.” Based on www.roadtovr.com/meta-quest-3...

Wonder if @jonhoneyball.bsky.social will consider this as an (affordable) Apple Vision Pro alternative on the @pcpro.bsky.social podcast now :-). Quest has supported single desktop for years via Virtual Desktop and I believe VD added multi-desktop support earlier this year.

Someone else recommended this last week and I’ve finished the first episode of Series 2. Fantastic stuff. I’d also this is a good one for fans of Slow Horses.

It seems to be asking me to enter my Bluesky credentials directly into it? Not that my Bluesky creds are that important but still.

Love clipboard history! Used to use Ditto for the same functionality years ago.

Very useful to move rows around in tables in Word or PowerPoint.

Current Fav: ALT-SHIFT-UP/DOWN to move current line up or down works in many apps. Except Excel for some reason.
