We’ll still be here, and you’ll still be here too. Rest and restore yourself and rise up strong. You’re not alone. We’re going to win. I’m with you.

My understanding from what officials have assured us, is that marines are only there to protect the federal building. Which is made of solid concrete, and very very hard to break.

Mr Booker, you do a lot of talking. But nothing you’re saying is news. You need to clean up your house, Senator. The days of performative speeches are over. Donate your AIPAC funds to Gaza and stop voting against your stated values. You can’t play both sides. Choose. Then act. Money isn’t everything

Go for a walk & let what you do be enough. Forgive yourself for not being a superhero. Drink water, take your vitamins. And don’t be afraid to check in with a doctor. Take naps. Get a massage. Hug somebody. It’s a long game, amiga so pace yourself. We’re going to win. You’re not alone. I’m with you.

Putting your hand on your heart when deep breathing is really grounding too. Returning to yourself and feeling yourself in your body. Our focus is so often on things outside of us sometimes we neglect to hold space for our own self.

We are all Americans who are ever wrestling with the knowledge that the American Dream is ableist, homophobic, ageist, racist, sexist, classist & cruel that we’ve all subscribed to and accepted in some way. Explicit or implicit in our complicity. We have an opportunity to change that right now.

Of course, with all change comes push back. The hyphenated cultural distinctions are an important part of learning to see & accept difference and disentangle from racist ideology. Because race is a social construct with real implications. But our pledge is for liberty and justice for ALL.

now we are described as a cultural “salad”. Each new people adding to the mix. We’ve tried to toss the stratagem of “us” vs “them” which of course upsets how some people have found power and security and puts people pushed to the margins as risk of violence in the scramble to reclaim their “place”
