I am wondering if Trump is creating a “Commander-in-Chief” uniform to wear. Dictators like to be El Jefe.

I suggest editing down a 5-paragraph statement to something that would be actually read.

I think this incident and others to come are leading up to Trump’s massive “show of force” birthday military parade. After the parade comes what? Alarm bells are ringing people

Wow it looks like the trees are on fire in your backyard. Kudos for staying focused.

this is a rare picture of him genuinely smiling. It alarmed me when I first saw it and it’s still alarms me

i’ve been through cancer. “Chemo brain“ is a real thing and lasts for a few months after chemo treatments are done. One key factor is the staff around him. If he has an excellent staff, his resignation should be for personal rather than professional reasons.

This makes sense…Elon some time ago said that DOGE was going to go after the Pentagon—then silence afterward.

and having to turn in note cards drove me crazy.

If he is impeached, Trump will just appointment another Federalist-approved chief justice. I also expect him to expand the SC and appoint 4 more Federalist-approved justices (so that the number of justices on the court matches the number of federal courts of appeal districts).

Elon said some time ago that DOGE was going to be looking at the Pentagon. Then nothing afterwards which is said as everyone knows there is a lot of waste in the military. They get way too much money to spend it efficiently.

My guess is that Harriet Tubman will never get on the $20 bill as planned.

Congress needs to clean up its act and stop the insider trading that members use to become multimillionaires. Then maybe they can point fingers at what is happening with Trump and his cabinet and people will listen. Make politicians honorable again!

You are one of four accounts I search for almost daily. I will miss you thoughts and memoirs if you go. We are at least two blue people who live in a deep red state.

I don’t know why I find Mean Cat so funny. There might be something wrong with me.

I had a kitty who was not affectionate at all. However, when I had what I called “chemo flu“ she could tell when I was in pain & would literally velcro herself to my torso & purr. She would move away as the pain subsided but watch me until I was pain-free & then she would leave

I thought he was recently vocalizing about sending one of his rockets up to rescue the astronauts in the space station. Elon and Trump are not saviors!

The image I have in mind is of representatives in the Italian govt throwing punches at each other in their chamber. I fear we might escalate to that with no return to compromise & respect. I am sure Trump had a plan if Democrats had marched out in mass.

It looks like after 2.5 full body pets, he was turning around to attack you. Thank goodness you stopped. You risk injury nightly.

I thought Trump proved he was a liar in his first term. Remember his health plan that was coming in two weeks? Remember his infrastructure plan? This veteran seems to have no concern on how a sitting president is attacking our allies or failing to uphold his oath to defend the Constitution.

It is laughable the Republican are so concerned about decorum. MTG and Boebart in action

This has been the way Trump has operated for decades. He cannot tolerate the status quo. He has to constantly interfere and shake things up thinking that he knows better. Hence, all his bankruptcies and lawsuits. He also loves pitting his department heads against one another to see who “wins.“

Even with all the horrible press and social media comments, Susan won her re-election to the Senate. And Boebert and MTG won re-election. It is very difficult to wrest a seat from an incumbent

She issues statements but then votes the party line except when her vote doesn’t matter & she is given permission not to. I understand this as Alaska is a red state and will vote her out. But she is the only one from our delegation to stick her neck out. Trump doesn’t like her.

He sets the world on fire and then goes to play golf. Typical

When the Affordable Care Act was first before Congress, the Republicans were yelling about it creating “death panels.” What did they think insurance companies were doing for all these years? And to those uninsured, life sometimes still depends on GoFundMe appeals, etc.

Hero vs Zero

One hero amongst all the zeros

I read elsewhere on baku.app that Trump reduced the USAID employees in Ukraine from 64 to 8.

How many times do you look at the temperature on your phone? Most of those temperatures are from weather stations NOAA/NWS helps maintain…or they are a model interpolation from a model NOAA/NWS helped develop. The radar data, satellite data, every single watch and warning…that’s NOAA/NWS.

So easy to see the one hero amongst all the zeros

Gee I wonder if Trump “thanked” him since he seems to be so big on allies showing gratitude to him.

When I hit “submit,” I got a message “Access denied” in tiny script. I tried a couple of more times and my 161-word thoughtful response still didn’t go through. Maybe the site is being flooded with messages.

I am horrified by this. I hope the UN sanctions him (unlikely). I hope Netanyahu & Trump end up charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity from the ICC at the Hague

It is a coup when he rules by executive orders & puts an unelected billionaire in charge of a made up and unauthorized “department of government efficiency” who proceeds to threaten people by invading their political inclinations and harvesting their tax & social security information

while we all need to stand up to defend our country and our democracy, the former presidents (Clinton, Obama, Biden and Bush) need to come together as a group and stand up and speak out!

Thank god he is old and his physical and mental decline will continue the next 3+ years. If he continues as he is, the Democrats may gain seats during the midterm elections.
