How implausible is it that he signaled this last night at that dinner so everyone there could short the market this morning?

Oh ffs. Get it together and stop chasing this bs. It’s so predictable. Trump vomits, market reacts, rich people buy, Trump backs off, market stabilizes. And “journalists” feed the flame by giving it oxygen. Lather, rinse, repeat

Market manipulation, once again.

If all other countries stood together and said “OK then, do your worst” he would fall over faster than a snowman in Bermuda. He’s desperate for attention and they shouldn’t respond to his ludicrous games.

I look forward to Rachel Riley taking up the case, or perhaps Maureen Lipman will leave the Labour Party in protest for the 28th time.

I am no longer comfortable in the sanctity of the ballot box. So, less likely to vote. Not because, I think they've been manipulated but because politicians of all flavours love surveillance, digitisation, & AI. They'll work out ways to gift/get the data for Party/funders. So, where do ballots go?

Our Universities are under political attac, too. Both Labour & Tories have focused resources & political capital to implode them. Starmer is the quieter, smoother operator of destruction, compared to Trump.

Doubtful. The UK government is effectively already pursuing a similar policy through the immigration back door. Pretty sure that most of the mostly Nazi Fleet St press, GB News, Reform Nazis, Tory nutters etc. would be on the side of whichever fascist government carried through such an attack.

You cannot hope to bribe or twist, thank God! the British journalist. But, seeing what the man will do unbribed, there's no occasion to.

Unfortunately, Trump can. Noem controls the students’ visas. If their visas are rescinded or revoked the students are then in the country illegally and can be picked up by CBP/ICE for detention/deportation. Newer international students won’t get visas at all.

He is not a wannabe dictator. He's a real dictator, and we really need to start pressing that point if you want him to go back to 'wannabe' status.

@harvard.edu should implement live online courses for their international students. They attend as if in person but from their home countries. Fuck you 47 you bag of shit.

I agree completely with the concerns. These arrests are shocking to people for obvious reasons. That said, I'll note that I have seen several situations in the last few months where ICE officers did produce IDs when challenged by another government official (like a local cop).
