Importantly, Cory Booker just broke Strom Thurmond’s record filibustering the Civil Rights Act of 1957. What racists and MAGA can’t wrap their heads around is that even in the most awful times and in unexpected ways, like Strom they will eventually be relegated to an ugly chapter of history.

On another note, I’m not surprised that Cory Booker has filibustered for 24 hours. I interviewed him during his 2019 presidential campaign and he had next-level energy. Took my phone and played Spotify then recorded a message on video for my wife.
