Utter nonsense. I know what you’re alluding to. But the vast majority of places don’t even have 2 teams until you start counting way down the leagues and in to the amateurs. Aberdeen (until very recently), Livingston, Kirkcaldy, Motherwell, Airdrie, Hamilton, Greenock, Ayr, Kilmarnock. Need I go on?

Agree tbf. I like the USL, they offer something different from the (aspirational) glitz and glam of the MLS. I just think in football/soccer the US needs to just bite the bullet and go with the tried and tested promotion and relegation system that the vast majority of nations do.
