He’s not wrong that the brand is weak. We don’t get anything done. I didn’t read it but I’m going to take a wild guess and say that’s probably where me agreeing with Rahm ends.

This isn’t a black and white issue. There’s genuine merit to keeping “leveling” out of first year high school classes. Kids and parents have no idea how a student does in a high school setting until they get there. Kids will be fine. They will retake biology in college anyways.

If this is how you’re going to handle this administration, resign now. As leader, as Senator, actually just leave my party while you’re at it.

You can’t determine if things are “unusual” by network traffic. The only people who truly know what TikTok does with your data are the people in charge of ByteDance. That’s part of the problem. It’s 100% a problem for US based stuff as well, but there’s at least legal grounds to fix this one.

One of my semi-crankish takes on this subject is that there is essentially no ownership that isn’t a practical threat to liberty once a platform becomes large enough, and the First Amendment is better at protecting the unfettered right of those owners to dominate you than your own rights to speak.

Bruh chill, it’s a kids book. They’re all bland. Kids still like them.
