Fancy going to a socialist bookshop!

Community notes are a cop out. It means that anyone can say anything and get away with it, spreading disinformation etc (unless you moderate your own website!)

The UK is richer than we think. Of course we can afford to increase taxes. It takes courage to do this when the right wing (press) say no. There are so many that want to deflect and change liberal values because they want more but in the West we have enough to share amongst us and for others too.

Did you originate this art? It's very 'children's nighttime story book'. Lovely.

It's a true disaster. Both the fires and the denials. Still, when all us ordinary folk have been killed off, the rich can sit on their pile of gold and endure a lonely lingering death in their own righteousness

Do you think!? Not sure about the true provenance of 'The Facebook' and who did what at the beginning but I feel he'll always do what's best for him and not the community. Screw the rest of us etc. He's blowing with the new political wind which some might see as a bit cowardly. Who knows?

Thank you Jenny. Me too. But I feel that he likes sowing discord and division so that he gets active users railing against him to keep Twitter/X alive. The best way is to ignore bullies. Delete and and move on. The traditional and verifiable liberal press, for me, is the best.

I really did. You have to ask yourself if you really want to waste time remonstrating with those that just want to push a hate agenda. Me, I have other things to do, like value those around me, and seek joy and glee. Have a great day :)

Who believed that in the first place?!

I posted a comment on it once trying to be rational about whatever it was and the'arguer' that I was corresponding with, after I said that their words were unkind, told me that I was in the wrong place and should get off it. I couldn't disagree and did so. You can't win against a wall of hate.

I think that X's days will decline. 'People' now don't bother with it as it's such a nasty place to bother with, unless you like being annoyed by someone else's views. Have your own and place those in a more ambient atmosphere. These are pieces of sophisticated plastic exercising thought control.

One of the things I wanted was to get away from all the sweary, lairy language. I do hope this can happen. Please!

It's a clever conflation of lived platforms. It's a way of messing up, financialising and 'norming' a platform. I guess it's come from a tech corner. Nice.

And maybe too much comment. It would be wonderful to respect everyone's individual point of view which is unrealistic. My only hope is that there's no vitriol, swearing etc. It takes more energy to be nasty than nice. Unless of course if you're a psychopath!

How lucky! I have a foot op in two weeks and will be non weight bearing for 3 months. But it'll be better later on!

I'm in the UK, so I'm not fussed about what the Trump family has to say about itself. I'd rather watch about other aspects of humanity that offers kindness and generosity to those who have less.

I stopped using Twitter when I remonstrated with someone about something negative they'd written and was told that I was in the wrong place. Life's too short to support negativity. This is so much more refreshing.
