Woo, the admin app for @ermiltd.bsky.social is running smoothly on iOS 26 & liquid glass Lots of visual changes (especially tab the tab bar), but nothing that gets in the way or reduces accessibility of the app Liquid glass on Mac seems pretty okay too. No issues at all which is good for 1st beta

micro:bit foundation looking for young people who are interested in more accessible ways to code. Can you help? switchgaming.blogspot.com/2025/06/help... #dev #a11y

tunnel time is the main step on Biscoito 's morning routine

Slowly coming out of meds drop. Having a bath and prodding some bits and bobs. Weird day. Will stay off meds for a bit then gently restart them next week. Beyond that all is well :)

Hey ☁️ #cloudnative ☁️friends!! ✨ big news from Apple today ✨ Want a native way to build Linux containers on Apple hardware? Now you can ✅ — check out the new open source #containerization framework: 👏 github.com/apple/contai... 👏 github.com/apple/contai... Fun fact: it’s written in @swift.org 🙌

Family Gaming Database team appreciation 🫶 post! For 5 years, they've researched 2 games every weekday. It's these hard-working expert parents/freelancers who've built this uniquely human dataset powering our advice: www.familygamingdatabase.com I'd love to surprise them with masses of shares!

Figma sites is a mess and should just be shot. Liquids glass is very much a developer beta. They normally go pretty extreme to find the edges. It’s a work in progress. Let em cook and let’s see where it ends up by September. Accessibility is part of that process. I’m optimistic on it.

Second bad meds drop in a row today. Need to pause meds a few days and then gently start them again and build back up to normal routine. Mood is good. Body is just very very upset with me.

BREAKING: Federal agents in plain clothes and unmarked cars tried to snatch 1st graders from LA elementary schools—told staff they had “parental consent.” They lied. When pressed, they HID THEIR IDS. DHS admits they sent them. This wasn’t a welfare check. It was a test run for a police state.

Does anyone have any good examples of article repositories they like? Not just blogs, but largest collections of resources and information? I’ve got all the building blocks for one but I’m just working out the final layouts now and I’m looking for inspiration :)

Today in Hell Yes, research: Once again, the data show there is no such thing as an autism epidemic, just better detection. Anyone who claims otherwise—especially if positioning themselves as an a autism research advocate—deserves severe and profound side-eyes. publichealth.jhu.edu/2025/is-ther...

Up early today. Nerdy stuff before opticians. Then see how I’m doing for spoons. A bike ride would rock, but I’m not entirely sure that’s a good idea after so much walking over the weekend. I’m already riding the edge of the soreness curve. Will see how it all pans out :)

Oooof. Incredibly heavy meds drop today. Go lay in a dark quiet place and ride it out. Zzzzz.

Alma Bowman is a 58 year old disabled woman who spent 30 months in ICE detention witnessing atrocities against women. When released, she worked with the government as a whistleblower to raise awareness of the inhumane practices in detention centres. Now ICE has her again 🧵

We've made it easy to respond to tell the EHRC what you think of its wicked attempt to humiliate trans people. Please use, share in your networks, and allow us to contact you in the future. goodlaw.social/9e59e9

While I’m thinking about it. Anyone fancy a Pitch for an article about learning Mario Kart World? My friend helped me get started with it over the weekend & there’s a good story there on the accessibility side… but also a nice way to frame a basics tutorial / explainer for a broader audience :)

Has anyone got any cognitive accessibility or motor accessibility questions about the Switch 2? I’m writing up my first impressions now so it’s a great time to ask me stuff 🕹️ Much woosh :)

I love some of the subtle stuff on the new @ermiltd.bsky.social website (ermitm.com) For example… various flag graphics around the site all blow the same way. The site has a canonical wind direction and speed… left crosswind, 15knots. We’ve applied it to all the icons + graphics 🎉🤣

This is a fever dream. The city is not under migrant occupation. This whole thing kicked off because ICE began an intense operation across the city to raid Home Depots and nail salons and places where random undocumented immigrants might be going about their day working a job.

Listen to Morgan. They are on the ground and a tremendously good human. To quote Andor ‘power doesn’t panic’. From the outside this looks like Trump and his goons panicking. They know they don’t have the numbers to enforce their bullshit the moment community stands up for thier rights.

Bill Atkinson is one of my heroes. ‘Making art on a computer’ simply would not have been the same without this man. The experience of using a web browser, even, is inspired by his work. Thanks Bill. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/07/t...

I know one thing. If I were a young blonde, white woman, and a police officer shot me ON CAMERA, my settlement would be large enough to have its own itemized line on LA's yearly budget.

LAPD fired rubber bullets at Australian journalist @laurentomasi.bsky.social

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

The world needs to watch this extremely closely.

I’m playing with a few 3D printed ideas to help support the Switch 2 when I’m gaming in a reclined position :) I’ve found a well placed plushie also helps… Experimenting around all the barriers to see what we can do. Planning lots of Lego Star Wars on it today :)

First thing in my timeline.

I’ve had a Switch 2 a few days and it’s been interesting. Really enjoyed it for Mario Kart World + Worms with friends. Especially docked to the TV with a wired pro controller. Struggling a little with it in handheld mode tho. Hands go numb really fast. Need to experiment with positions. :)

Had a really fun weekend hanging out with friends. Movement is really getting good. Walked around town 2 days in a row and I can mostly feel my feet this morning! Life feels very good right now. Surreal even. :)

A new study shows ADHD is not be coming more common, but that greater awareness and acceptance are likely to be encouraging more people to seek help. This is undoubtedly the same for autism. www.bbc.com/news/article...

Ooooo, love it when multiple things come along at once. Looks like I’ve got two, maybe three events interested in chatting about the AAU (Augmentative & Alternative Underwear) stuff I wrote about a few weeks ago. Potentially a podcast episode with someone too. That’s exciting :)

Super bouncy day so far today. Blog posts, LinkedIn posts and heaps of emails done :) Little break now for some long Lion snugs. Then time to go do some nerdy things for @ermiltd.bsky.social :)

Seems like an appropriate time to repost this

Eeee. I blogged :) I was asked about burnout at an eventing & it reminded me of this thread from a few weeks ago I figured it would be a good time to turn it into a proper blog post that goes a little deeper than the thread did. Hope it’s useful :) spacedoutandsmiling.com/blog/2025-06...
