Feels like the direct effect of SCOTUS developing a new doctrine that any time a court even temporarily stops this specific government from doing something, it's is an irreparable harm to the government.

Sotomayor & Jackson went further and said there's reason to question CA11 "discretionary function" precedent without the Court even needing to intervene. They don't think it's that difficult to say that FBI officers lack discretion to raid the wrong house.

/3 Anyway, a reminder: when people are proud to be a piece of shit, insist on treating them like a piece of shit. You’ll get some hand-wringing about cancel culture but not from anyone worth listening to.

There's no meaningful argument for why masked goons need to abduct kitchen workers and do so with the full protection of the law and military gear. Everything that leads to ICE using flashbangs on civilians protesting disappearances is a policy and moral failure.

It’s an ongoing problem across lots of issues. Maybe this “refusing to give the doctrine legitimacy” approach made sense w/ a 5-4 court. But at 6-3, the libs can’t stop things they oppose, so they should use the doctrines they don’t like for good when they can.

"We decided the TikTok case in like a month" is an insane response to this case. Both from the practical standpoint of the Chief Justice thinking the answer is for the Court to take up and rule on the merits of every trump EO within a month. But also because Trump didn't follow the TikTok ruling.
