Doomsday Man…fucks? Man, I gotta stronger soft spot for hand me down Kirby design than I thought….

Might be the best one yet!

Damn, thank you for this, David!

Depending on when this was, “the press” was almost certainly is a reference to The Comics Journal, which absolutely would qualify as the press and absolutely was Kirby-oriented. (And absolutely right to be so, of course.)

Also, as long as I’m doing the Sunday Clytemnestra thing—I’m gonna hate it when they run Chelsea against AOC but, again, the Clintons will have put in the work.

Say what you will about the Dems, but you gotta admit—when you’re this good a soldier, they *will* clear the decks so your divisive spouse can run unopposed for the highest office in the land and lose to a celebrity rapist.

I think that’s true about a lot of the stuff with Sinners? Lots of moments that would raise an eyebrow. I’d say her faith/knowledge of fantastic things is part of why she says that, at the least.

Yo, not doing this to cap on you but: you should keep thinking about this because it 100% unlocks some thematic issues for the film and shows Smoke’s character movement in particular

also, very, very lovely to have you in my feed again. Hope all's well with ya!

You're right on both counts! Man, an X-Files radio show could be flat-out *perfect*.

(this skeet brought to you by Obisidian, where you "only" have to edit the CSS in edit mode *and* preview mode to have automatic line returns at the end of paragraphs!)

Yeah, I’m willing to accept a certain degree of blame, but after a certain point the demon is indeed your own. Makes me feel a little less lonely, if that helps?

Thank you for the peek behind the curtain! I am similarly deranged so I really appreciated the indirect enabling.

This may be the first image I’ve ever hoped to be AI. It would explain so much—and in a much less depressing way—than this being real life.

Thank you! Came here specifically to see if the patch added stuff or just fixed that one issue (which I never had any problems with). Love the game!

There is absolutely a need for more digital comics retailers and the list of how horribly Amazon has treated Comixology customers is voluminous. Hoping for that and getting what is, intentionally or not, a glowing business précis for those bearing no small responsibility for it is… vexing.

I don’t have Insta so I can’t click through on that link, but is that “different platform” Jason Howard using to add a character sketch in fact DSTLRY? If so, why wouldn’t you address why the same owners are launching a new service that does the same thing with entirely different branding?

Right? “Selling our second digital comics company to Amazon is a sign of our faith in their ability to do right by comics consumers this time and have learned from their previous mistakes,” said the man cashing a very big check.

At my most generous, this article’s brevity moved it into the territory of downright disingenuous—but listing DSTLRY as a participating publisher in Neon Ichiban without mentioning it’s also owned by the same people? Kinda sus!

Literally a federal holiday. But a good question for Friday and beyond!

(Still better than the shit Schumer’s posting, tbqh)

Pescatarian, but same!

(You can tell how upset I am by the absurd amount of repetition—so much for crafting a viral call to action!)

Not your point, but “girlfriend’s twin sister having no knowledge of crucial character” sounds like an actual Jimmy Olsen story trope!

Or maybe Merchant Ivory’s failed attempt at a cinematic universe?

Yup, I remember you writing about it way back when but haven’t seen in forever so these links are gold. Thank you!

Might not interest you as the subject’s not especially fresh but…Metal Gear Solid? Or, maybe, as someone who knows video games and manga—where does Kojima fall in the nexus between the two? Is he a manga-ka who makes video games, maybe?

Very glad you’re around, Tom!

I like how his outfit carefully courts both his biggest audiences—up top, house painters in recovery; down below, Stuttgart's third most popular Milli Vanilli tribute band.

Roomba is the dream of the automated future, a small cute robot does a boring chore for you. No LLM could EVER be as useful or popular as Roomba.

Oh man, an Alejandro Jodorowsky line of Father’s Day cards? I will be laughing about this for *days*
