PAA29 is arguably the most crucial underlying factor keeping us from really having these conversations at the federal levels.
Repealing PAA29 would break up a century old autocratic power structure that would radically shift power to the people in a meaningful way.

Arguably repealing the permanent apportionment act of 1929 is the way to gerrymandering reform. Repealing PAA29 makes all the reform proposals feasible!

(It’s also a REALLY GOOD ARGUMENT for repealing the permanent apportionment act and uncapping OUR power over OUR House of Representatives)

Note: Speed limiters in bikes are dumb.
As long as car manufacturers advertise 0-60 MPH in less than 10 seconds as a good thing and refuse to put speed limiters in their vehicles (in the US); the entire notion of trying to limit the speed of bikes and scooters is elitist and superficial.

Like when one of these scooters or bikes dies, a maintenance team is sent out to retrieve the dead scooter/bike.
Plus they need a system to be able to track for improper use and parking.
There is a great need for rented rides but not at the expense of others safety.

I just noticed the lime scooters just parked on top of eachother blocking the bike lane 🫠
Arlington needs a better designed micro parking infrastructure with designated rented ride parking.
These companies also need to do better about having a maintenance plan that is both proactive and engaging.

This is toxic as hell.
DEFEND YOURSELF BECAUSE IF YOU DONT THEY’RE GOING TO ATTACK YOU ANYWAY.
Stop complying in advance by telling people NOT to fight back to defend themselves and their community.
I’m not say storm the capitol, I’m saying be willing to stand up and die on the hill.

Another instance of “we’ll do everything to bike lanes that we should be doing to the street.”
I really love 🙄 the way cars have a straight path with no obstruction but mobility lane users are forced to the curb (originally designed so cars could park) to maneuver around obstacle after obstacle 🙃

Explain to me how capitalism works again? Tell me how we’re not forced to buy forced to buy from massive corporations while our entire survival is based on the premise of buying shit from massive corporations.
Look folks this is what a fascist looks like.

Tell me you don’t understand economics without telling me.
Fun fact- 2000 ultra wealthy families lobbing the government in order to expand their profit margins is exactly how massive amounts of wealths get transferred from the working to owning class.
Seriously stop licking leather.

Seriously tell me how allowing British Petroleum, Shell, and 3M to to create carcinogenic products that destroy the world while simultaneously extracting trillions of economic resources from our planet is a benefit to anyone but those with billions.

Tell me how an immigrant is killing grandma while the CEOs at Blue cross-Blue Shield, Kaiser Permanente, & Medicare work to kick her off her healthcare.
Tell me how immigrants are stealing jobs while the CEOs at General Electric, Ford, Kia, Target, Walmart, and Boeing works to cut your job.

Quite literally we saw 3 trillion dollars of our global economic output get transferred from the working class to the owning class
But sure. Go off on how you think immigrants are the one stealing your cookies.

🙃🙃🙃 You are a fucking idiot. Please tell me how you think corporate monopolies give anyone a choice?
Maybe just maybe Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg have been lying to you in order to line their own pockets.
CEOs don’t get to a billion dollars without stealing it out of the pockets of the poor.

Besides extract trillions from the economy? Well I’ve got a list of the corrupt and horrific acts they have committed against each and every community they have any influence over. First starting with the fact they actively make the decisions that kill people and destroy our community.

You actually want people taking buses downtown rather than them driving or calling a million Ubers. You could even—shocker—close off streets to everything BUT buses and bikes for an event like this.

That part. When the walk home is shorter than the “projected” next bus that is a problem.

This is an issue I’ve run into a few times. It’s one of the reasons I don’t get groceries or plan to do any time sensitive errands on the bus. The faux BRT scheme only really ever runs every 20 minutes and the Drivers are a hit or miss on if they stop.
