Cynics were often recognized in the ancient world by their apparel—an old cloak and a staff. The cloak was an allusion to Socrates and his manner of dress, the staff to the club of Heracles.

People want to feel like something is actually happening, like this is the straw that made the difference. We like evidence of change while we Sysiphus around the joint.

I asked Noam Chomsky how we can instinctually understand that joke and he said "don't be so sure".

It's your account you could have one just for alcoholic posts and another just for when your folding clothes, one for politics, one for good food experiences, op int, et al or everything in one, the only rules are the ones you impose

But the caliber of at least you and Disalvatron's visual art is off the charts. Ok I mean I know you know better than I do in this arena.

Send a few copies to Morrison and Moore and some of like kind? Maybe they will give you testimonials to help you sell it. They might like it.

I found the "view full thread" link under your 'replies' tab. I don't think I will always be able to do that for everyone and their threads. aye carumba

I didn't think you would put up with any unwanted business. Though I am still selling the idea (for free) that less doing is on the whole, better for everyone. When individuals do it, it leads toa temporary rise for them as they exploit others and then leaves pollution and decay in its wake.

I was being sincere about my viewpoint. Action is ruinous. I think it RAWILSON who first taught me about the idea of non action in one of the trilogies. It is far nobler to sleep than to go about exercising ambition all over everything.

It's funny that you said this and I said what I said before I just read this.

It is amazing that you went through the trouble of finding a beach the same color as your shirt.

Yes it's very nice

Indeed why anyone ever focuses on anything for any reason or to any end is absurdly arbitrary. This from me in defense of doing less. Ambition is ruinous. When will they learn?

I screenshotted this and posted it on facebook. THANK YOU!

I'm sorry, it's not your job to inform me of this on every goddamn social platform

There should be a clear, easy navigation to the post and the thread that led to this reply. Why is this so hard for twitxer and bsky to understand? I don't know what I said to you. How do people follow the conversation? Do you know James?

Yeah that is rotten. Or "What would you like to see in my upcoming emails"? They want us to market them to ourselves and do all the work as well.

If we didn't have to compete with billionaires for our candidates we wouldn't be getting these terrible candidates
comment in response to post
Yeah, I drop an email just find out what people are talking about it see their price for a product. Then unsubscribe as some as I get the first email. It's such a broken marketing strategy.

Billions will perish due to our collapse as well. Like in a specific decade that I'm unsure of the exact dates. Icarus innit.

I was raised as if British history was the history of humanity and yet I forget so much of it for instance I do not remember Ian McKellans portrayal of Richard though I think I remember Tim Curry doing it
