Gavin, I saw this card when I was 13, not understanding anything about Magic. About 8 years later, the first time I played the game was a New Phyrexia draft. I keep this card still, from over 20 years ago, because this haunting poem started my obsession with diving into the games lore.

I REALLY did not intend for the figure within to look to be hanging from a rope. I wanted to have them look like they were floating in chaos. Should have used something hard to see like fishing line.
