Yes but what about building your brand? Driving engagement and likes? Generating ad revenue? Maximizing that hustle ‘grindset’? Influencing and getting ad deals/brand sponsorships? Who needs interesting, silly, or therapeutic social media when you can just become a 21st century talking head?

Haha, I always think of the oast houses when I think of Kent. Is that where you call home? Are Jaffa cakes still superior to hobnobs?

“And then remember this: The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear.”

As I said, I appreciate your optimism. Manifest the reality you want to live in and so on. But I believe underestimating an enemy is one of the easiest mistakes to make.

While I do think maga will be in disarray when he inevitably kicks the bucket, it’s a worldwide movement that’s bigger than any one man. Fascism and authoritarian regimes are on the rise - and the wealth and influence of those supporting them seems ever growing.

Eh, depends. With the loosening of regulations, these areas may become hazardous - ripe for disposal of waste after anything valuable has been extracted

Bold of you to think we’ll have any nature preserves left. They just earmarked an enormous portion of national parks for logging. Development and sale is next. Destroying anything good about this country is the goal.

I left the UK when Blair was still in and haven’t lived there since. Is Starmer the most disappointing PM of the past several decades? Not counting Truss

“I hear we have an American pope, we’re very happy about that. But if they wanted an American, why not choose me? It should have been me. Many people think so. Some of the best Catholics think so. We’ll see how he does. I may have a few pointers for him”

It’s because we were the first generation to ‘come of age’ with the internet, thus blamed for everything that was changed by the internet.

Reading this stings. I took a course in college called Roman Urbanism that covered most of the history of the city, focusing on specific areas, roads, buildings etc. The second half of the course was ‘In Situ’ - but optional. Imagine passing up on a chance to study Rome in Rome with your professor.

After watching the harrowing Ep 8, as it portrays the Ghorman massacre as one of the first openly-genocidal acts of the Empire, it puts the destruction of Alderaan in a new light; we never get an ‘on the ground’ interpretation of its destruction, but I wonder how many ppl finally woke up after that

1 year between each group of 3 episodes, true. Still the effect is the same.

Did you ever play Tribes?

Totally different structure. Where S1 was more or less a constant run from one ep to the next, S2 is divided up into quarters that are spaced apart by varying numbers of years in between. This has the effect of making each quarter (of 3 eps) feel like it is taking much bigger strides of progress

It felt abrupt and wrong for TM to be killed off so early. Now knowing about this cut helps explain why thunderbolts felt kind of lopsided in its exploration of the main cast.

I’ve been thinking this too. But Andor’s message that cooperation and collaboration for the cause is salient isn’t lost in ANH - from the reluctant rogue, the aging Jedi, to the unwitting children of one of the chief tyrants of the time. Even the final killshot by Luke was assisted by Han.
